This sweet little Austin wedding might be light on a bevvy of wedding detailing, but it more than makes up for it in charm!  Amanda & Andre went back to Amanda’s Texas roots when it came time to plan their wedding from abroad.  Andre, being from Switzerland, followed her lead, creating the most perfect Austin wedding nestled in at Barr Mansion.  This Austin wedding venue is a dreamy locale from its white washed estate home to the enduring little white chapel in the back.  The couple choose to only add only small touches here and there to keep the beauty of the property the star.  Stems Floral did a terrific job crafting understated arrangements that were just the right touch, in a wash of pinks & orange accented by navy.  My favorite piece to the day however is Amanda’s magnetic smile and a laugh that seems to translate through images, something I am betting is part of what made Andre fall in love with her!  Texas wedding photographer Photo by Betsy did a beautiful job capturing each sweet moment in moody gorgeousness and I just know you’ll fall for this sweet little Austin wedding!

Notes from the bride…

We wanted to showcase the beauty of Texas at Barr Mansion. We wanted the decoration to be simple and beautiful without having to do much. The elegance and beauty of the pecan tree outside the Mansion is stunning with the wood paneling and lighting inside the ballroom created such a warm feeling that we felt it didn’t need anymore decoration. We wanted our wedding day to be a time that we could celebrate with friends and family from all over the world. That was the most important part to us.

Barr Mansion was perfect because we were planning the wedding from abroad and a lot of things such as the food and linens were included. Not only that, but we thought it was the most beautiful venue. We had both the ceremony and reception in the same place and it was absolutely lovely. The ballroom has a massive wall covered in windows which let the natural light shine in. A lot of guests were coming from Switzerland and I wanted them to be able to experience the beautiful nature and feel of Texas.

Favorite Moments ~ I had a fantastic time dancing at the reception, but the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Judge Jon Wisser did a beautiful job with presenting our vows and afterwords we walked outside to take some photos. I enjoyed the special moment we shared during our vows, and also the moments after the ceremony where we could all let loose and talk with everyone.
