One of my absolutely favorite places to look for wedding inspiration are places that are anything but wedding related. There is something so refreshing about looking outside of a particular genera, essentially seeing how the other half lives if you will. Elements in women's style such as hair and makeup can be transported from any glossy page, simply insert occasion/event here. Even attire, like the gorgeous dark floral beauties here, speak to occasions such as bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, engagement photos and more. Love a gorgeous lip, cant get enough of a certain curl, who cares under what pretense you find that inspiration, all that matters IS that your being inspired. When Colors of Freedom from Passionate Wedding Photography came my way I was down right giddy. Fresh, bold editorial yumminess that oozed style perfection. Women's fashion is all about style and is unique as it is organic in evolution. This little editorial spread features 5 moody dark floral loving looks that are all kinds of style everything. While the dresses are divine, its the unapologetic bold red lip and wind loving pencil perfect locks that I cant get enough of. The making to any great style is one that captures perfection all while harnessing effortless ease, like you didnt care, but we know you soooo did and we love you for it.
A minimalist bride is often confused with an under-styled bride and that is simply not the case. The art to minimalist beauty is focusing in on a few key details, opting for choices that are classic elegance, all done with a light delicate hand. Nothing too heavy, nothing to bold or overbearing, all simply kissed with style. Hair & makeup tutorials are all around us, it is those that highlight light handed skill that we should really pay special attention to! Taking on a fresh modern spin on the french twist paired with rose quartz kissed eyes and lips, today's hair & makeup tutorial from Aisle Hair & Katie Elwood reads like a modern bride handbook for wedding day perfection. Wedding photographer Maru Photography brings to life each step of the process, capturing key moments in the process to help you articulate your own minimalist bride perfection!
Gorgeous florals plus wonderfully dreamy moody photography is practically my kryptonite. Dial in the most perfect hair & makeup, a dewy faced model and body skimming wedding dresses into almost hauntingly dreamy bridal style and well... just consider me down for the count into wedding oblivion! Storyboard Wedding fave & resident beauty expert, New York City hair & makeup artist Beauty by Eden Di Bianco recently teamed up with New York wedding photographer Claudia McDade to breathe some life into a late spring bridal style session that was deeply inspired by the Art Nouveau stylings inspired by 'La Primavere' by Alphonse Mucha. To start with, generous large blossom floral crowns were constructed by New York City florist Aurora Botanica in a mix of deeply moody hues from purple, coral and minty hellebores. Each arrangement is carefully crafted to emphasize the beauty of each bloom all while playing the perfect supporting role to every other aspect of the overall look. To capture the essence that is Art Nouveau, Eden focused on perfecting a creamy, natural complexion without hard contouring and romantic but simple hair with texture and movement, a look that served to enhance fawn like Delaney's naturally soft beauty. The most perfect thing about bridal style is how personal you...

Lace is a staple within the wedding world from the delicate creations placed on stunning gowns to intertwining lace details into decor. We wanted to take lace one step further, into the realm of statement lace if you will. The result are three wonderfully dynamic lace looks that define unique wedding hair. Look 1, a simple row of lace flowers in a soft pale pink, is used as a dramatic accent piece to a thick textured side braid do. Using lace this way creates a play on a crown, without all the fuss. Look 2 is far more bold, something that not every bride will be as adventurous to try. Utilizing a handcrafted piece of embroidered lace featuring exaggerated peaks and valleys, the bridal lace facial is born. Scalloped lace edges work their way through our brides do up front, while the depression of the valley serves to frame her face. Fresh and bold, something that is dreamy to perfection for the fashion forward bride. Lastly, look 3, a statement crown in black. Black embroidered lace with sequin detailing serves as the perfect forum to create a lively twist on a more traditional look. Petite yet grand, the black lace grown is the ultimate lace wedding hair adornment, something that is easily thrown into the mix post ceremony. Whether your feeling a bit bold or want to play it more to the conservative side, your sure to crush on at least one of these unique wedding hair looks, each detailed in lace.
