1. The Chic Offbeat Bride In Tones Of Black, Ivory, Gold & Burgundy

As we know I have a real thing for bridal looks that are anything but cookie cutter & when the gals over at Ivory + Beau sent this styled bridal portrait session my way, I was really excited to share it! Dark & mysterious is the vibe, the girls put together a gorgeous look for fall/winter weddings that could easily be for bridesmaids just as much as it could for the chic offbeat bride. Driving home the feel of our mysterious bride is the color palette, something wonderfully dark & rich in tones of black, ivory, gold & burgundy. While our gal dons a sleek black body hugging dress, the over all look is driven by the rose gold eyes & lush lips which pull us in. Slightly tumbling locks or full on down, each variation of the styling of her hair is hallmarked by the gorgeous accessories from Hushed Commotion with my personal favorite being 'Doris' the gilded birdcage veil. To slip into something cozy & chic to protect against the cooler temps, Adrienna McDermott of Ivory + Beau crafted the ivory textured vest which gives a rather regal touch to the overall look. There is a certain chic offbeat quality to the look overall which certain has glam touches in all the right places!

  2. Modern Vintage Bridal Session At The Caldwell Zoo With Romantic Safari Influences

Vintage glam at the zoo, YES! What could possible be more romantic then softly tumbling locks, full frilly vintage wedding dresses from the 1950's & 1960's and a safari like setting?! Gema of Photography by Gema put together this wonderful little styled bridal portrait session showing how easily one can make something vintage, fresh & modern. While most brides gravitate toward brand new wedding dresses, there is something extra special about snagging a gown out of a vintage collection and putting your spin on it, whether its proper ivory or a dress with a subtle pink hue! Mixing in bold oranges with touches of red & brown round out this wonderfully exotic feel, also giving us a peek at a lovely winter/fall inspired palette. Winter colors often get written off as having a harsher edge to them, Gema's session proves that there is a dreamy gentle & romantic side as well, plus it also doesnt hurt to have snuggling giraffes in the background either!

  3. Why It Works Wednesday: The Plaid Bride We All Have A Crush On

You know the image I am referring to, its been making its way around the Pinterestsphere for sometime now. Hair done up in that just right textured loose braid do, perfectly wrapped flannel shirt paired with a full tulle skirt, all of which is highlighted by that gorgeous Look At Me back bow. The image we've all squirreled away some place for use in our fall/winter inspiration boards, for cold weather brides looking for a chic touch to their day, even fashionista dream girls who simply love the idea of a cozy flannel paired with a gigantic full skirt. We all love it, we each have our very own reasons for which piece is our favorite part, but do you know what makes it all come together and work so very well?

  4. Dreamy Late Fall Rustic Cabin Wedding With An Earthy Feel & Vintage Decor

If you fall into a gorgeous late fall come winter dream, situated in a cabin in the woods, and it looks a little like this, don't be surprised because I am pretty sure this is what a lovely soft dream looks like! Ethereal, elegant and wonderfully stylish in the most perfect of home loving ways, this styled session from the Canadian duo of Sophie Asselin Photographe & La Mariée Bohème is everything. Wonderfully rustic, perfectly vintage, the room is filled with delightful trinkets from old hard cover volumes, old candle holders, hollow picture frames, clocks and so much more. A simple table is set with a gentle lace cloth, floral plates, & wood slices to elevate the gorgeous creamy blooms which are perfectly punctuated with sprigs of boisterous cotton heads. Not to be out done by her surroundings, our bride is a vision of sophistication and grace, styled in a fitted lace wedding dress, a playful assortment of bridal headpieces and utterly divine bronze kissed eye lids. Between the cabin come dream landscape, the gorgeous bride, and most intriguing of lighting, its easy to see why this session is such a dream!
