Gift finding, to me, always seems harder than it should be. As someone who was once a bride herself, I can honestly say that wedding day gifts were that much more of a puzzle to me. I overthought the entire process, adding stress onto an already all-consuming event. When we teamed up with Movado and Kay Jewelers it dawned on me how much more blissful I could have made my life. The gift of time is something every single person needs, loves and will always cherish.
They say that love always finds a way and that is very much the essence to Noel & Chris' stunning Dallas wedding at Nasher Sculpture Center. Although both lived in different cities when they first met, their bond could not be denied, ultimately opting to relocate from the perspective towns to create a new life together in Dallas. There is a powerful elegance and a gorgeously undeniable romantic undertone to their Dallas wedding. Blooms, which danced all throughout the day, were grown specially by Noel's stepfather. While the ceremony was indoors overlooking the vaulted stairwell leading into the park, the reception however was a dreamy al fresco affair dotted by cafe lights and thin taper candles. A mix of long and circle reception tables created the perfect atmosphere, injecting a lovely and free-spirited vibe into their Dallas wedding. With each little piece of wedding decor, there is a beautiful restraint and captivating elegance. Gardens and sculpture parks make for enchanting wedding venues, and in the case of Noel & Chris utter Dallas wedding perfection.
“The whole wedding managed to feel at once like the greatest, most important party we had ever been to and just another summer barbecue with our family and best friends.” This incredibly wonderful statement struck me with such truism when I read the start of what Alexa had to say. To be able to slow the day down, take in each special moment, and be able to revel in it is the true beauty behind the wedding day. Alexa and Jon's private residence Hudson Valley backyard wedding is one filled of sentimental detailing. Married at Alexa's family home, the couple shared their I do's in a truly special place, in front of a tiny chapel her great-grandfather built for his wife in the woods behind their home. Flower arrangements included pink and white peonies from Alexa’s father’s garden, which her mother hand picked the month prior, wrapping in newspaper and storing in a refrigerator until a week before the wedding! Escort cards were equally sentimental, a collection of flat stones from around the couple's favorite beaches on Block Island, where Jon proposed to Alexa, with guests’ names painted on them. Guests of the backyard wedding were treated to a raw bar, a roast pig and New Zealand lamb, which was a nod to the groom’s Kiwi heritage. Even Alexa's approach to her wedding dress...
Wrapped up in nature is perhaps one of the more serene and lovely places to host an affair. Through the natural landscape, with soft breezes blowing, there is a certain allure that is hard to beat. When it comes to a ranch wedding, a vast locale like the New Frontier Ranch is something that Bre and Adam knew would make their day. The beauty to Bre and Adam's wedding is how eloquently they dialed up the elegant romance factor. Wedding details like a chandelier swaying ceremony backdrop wrapped in blooms and a barn filled of white, are just a few of the details that make this ranch wedding. Bringing it all home is Bre's crush worthy style, featuring a body hugging low back wedding dress, topped with a multi-layer statement necklace that is all kinds of amazing. While the ranch wedding as a whole is a treat, its the special little guest star that makes us giggle with delight! For those seeking a more country affair, we think you'll want to take notes!
