As we shift away from the summer months, heading into the fall wedding season, there is a playful spirit that takes over. Hollywood is a fantastic source of inspiration for all things, those especially wedding. Woodland weddings are a perfect place to harness the fall energy while offering up a playland to work with. A group of California wedding pros got together, wanting to bring to life a Hollywood inspired fairy tale wedding, Snow White & The Huntsman. Taking a cue from fantasy, the team decided to articulate their vision into a woodland wedding filled with antique decor & furnishings that spoke to a time long ago. Working with pieces from a byfone era, elements like heirloom china & jewelry from Koryn of Intimate Gatherings grandmother were used. Dipping into fall's own hues, berries and blushes from The Wild Floral Co dotted the warm tone surroundings. Wanting to capture the true adventurous nature to the cinematic revision, two stunning wedding dresses dance in the dappled woodland light playing beautifully on the lighter and darker side of the story. Bringing everything together, Victoria Johansson Photography artfully captured each savory little detail, giving life to the fairy tale story.
What could spell dark romance better than a moody snow filled woodland world as your stage? While a snowy shoot might have been the goal for this styled elopement photographed by wedding photographer Lissables Photography, a dreamy blizzard filled world took hold! Expressing a dark romance feel, everything about this delicious elopement is style driven. Wedding designer A Pretty Styled Life brought the drama in the from of grandeur & sophistication. Working with a dark palette centered around black & gold with deep burgundy accents, wedding decor details were chosen that echoed an artistic mod edge. Uniquely geometrical elements dotted the sweetheart table from spherical treasures to gilded sea urchin like starbursts. Sweet treats in the form of sugar dusted donuts, chocolate dipped red velvet Oreo's and a petite gold wedding cake found the perfect home among the snow dusted surroundings. It is for me however, the gorgeous and perfectly fashion forward bridal look to the elopement that is everything. Rustic chic with a dash of whimsical boho is the perfect way to describe this dreamy kinfolk wedding nestled among the trees at White Rock Lake. Looking to evoke an elevated down home feel, a team of Texas wedding pros including wedding photographer Rachel Meagan Photography and floral & event designer Shannon Rose Events created the perfect fall wedding inspiration shoot. With a focus on texture and movement, unique areas were created within the sprawling park grounds. Noshes, both sweet and savory, were displayed on wood & marble platters placed on top of an antique trunk which was finished with vintage lace. A chocolate naked wedding cake was the perfect choice, echoing the moody the color scheme, topped with a gold calligraphy style note of love. To give the kinfolk wedding a relaxed feel, the team worked with a shorter table opting for gold metal ottoman seating paired with Mexican blankets. Charcoal plates offered moody contrast to a white table runner which was then dotted with gold accents throughout the table. The final piece to the kinfolk wedding puzzle was the ever delicious golden hour time of day, drenching each moment in savory gold goodness!

I love a bit of drama and this classic vintage bridal at Biltmore Village Inn beautifully embodies just that! Wanting to work with something a bit more sensual, the team opted for a boudoir come bridal portrait session captured by Audrey Goforth Photography, tucked into one of the stately rooms at the inn. Playing off the historic bed & breakfast interior, the a deep moody palette was brought to life centered around berry rich hued florals, styled by Flowers by Larry. In order to inject a fresh modern take on the vintage bridal style, a stunning bead work lace top wedding dress from Wildflower Bridal served as the centerpiece, a departure from the more common strapless gowns we see all too often. A long Rapunzel-couture inspired braid from Love, Daisy and classic red-lip look by Beauty by Carisse amped up the overall look and feel, while a watercolor calligraphy invitation suite from Long Village Studio & wedding cake from Tiffany's Baking Co. added soft feminine touches. The result is a timeless look that is every bit classic and vintage as it is modern!
