1. Southern Elegance At This Sunset Inspired North Carolina Graylyn Estate Wedding

When things get started off with sunset hues as inspiration, you know a treat is in store! Add in the beautiful photographic styling of North Carolina wedding photographer Carolyn Scott Photography and you have the makings for one crush worthy wedding! A palette of Yellow, Orange, Guava, Coral Reef, & Persimmon was worked into every detail from gingham print ties to playful pinwheels which lined the aisles & became a part of the centerpieces. Bridesmaids donned a mixed lot of frocks, each in a sweet coral hue while bride, Laurie C. Chapman, was a whispery vision in her flowing Saja gown. The regal venue that is Graylyn Estate was the final piece of the puzzle, providing the most picturesque of old world estate backgrounds. I am eating up the gentle glam and polished perfection that is Laurie & Dwight S. Blass' wedding and love even more, the whimsical touches and lighter air!

  2. Art Pop Modern New York City Wedding In Shades Of Yellow

If you had to choose a color between yellow and yellow... would you choose... yellow? Melanie Curcio & Sandro Cozzi most certainly did and as you breeze through their wonderfully lighthearted day, its easy to see why yellow is so very much their spirit color! Bright, bold & filled with life, Melanie & Sandro embrace life, ensuring each moment is simply everything. Armed with their perfect photography soul mate match in New York City based wedding photographer Cassi Claire, the day unfolded in a most glorious of ways. Gorgeous Melanie embodied a retro throw back bridal style made modern, donning a perfectly fitted Sue Wong gown all while rocking a unique pillbox style fascinator & completely nailing eye glass chic. The men embraced a more slick modern role in tailored gray suits, while Melanie's girls were garden party chic in Watters 2 tone dresses. The lively couple knew that cookie cutter was not for them, instead highlighting details they love such as unique spaces like their beyond amazing rustic industrial art deco reception space & a trolley to get the bridal party around. NYC favorites were high on the list as well, stopping at the ever iconic NY based Shake Shack for a bite, visiting a knotted rope art installation in the park, and of course feeling the NYC love while getting cheered on by park guests as they go! As the perfect end cap to Melanie & Sandro's personalized day, in lieu of a traditional wedding cake, the vibrant couple served their guests hand scoped Italian ices, which is simply perfection on those summer days! Between Melanie & Sandro's joy for life which jumps through every photograph, 50 shades of yellow which emits nonstop happiness & Cassi Claire's life brightening way of capturing it all, I challenge you not to smile all the way through till your cheeks hurt!

  3. Rustic Bohemian Summer Charleston South Carolina Wedding At Boone Hall Plantation

The dress, the flowers, the succulent covered cake, the details, the location!! Today's gorgeous rustic summer wedding is another affirmation to me that Charleston, South Carolina weddings are where its at! Set on the ever dreamy & picturesque Boone Hall Plantation, Brooke Lassiter & Matt Nesbit took full advantage of everything a southern wedding could be, from getting married at the Cotton Dock in the marsh, to portraits under giant oaks dripping with Spanish moss, each moment beautifully captured by South Carolina wedding photographer Priscilla Thomas Photography! Brooke's bridal style is certainly a highlight, being equal parts chic, boho & wonderfully full of free spirit with Brooke owning the heck out of her champagne-hued Rosecliff Gown from BHDLN, which she perfectly finished with a floral crown of springy greens & yellow petite blooms. The same level of style was put into their day with details ranging from their weathered gray wood signage, strand lights, wedding photos of family members, even the names of the tables, those of popular streets in Charleston. Brooke & Matt's cake is another true treat, a whipped buttercream cake frosted with spatula texture finished with groupings of everyone's favorite, succulents! Of course a wedding would not be complete without all the family members, Brooke & Matt's dogs joined in on the fun and the free spirited style with floral crowns of their own! This wedding is a stunning mashup of sophistication & relaxation and I know you're going to love every minute of it as much as I do!

  4. Why It Works Wednesday: Strong Wood Tables & Their Energizing Tablescape Counterparts

There is a real romance to table setting, even more then romance there is a delicate dance that is done to achieve the perfect balance no matter the volume of intensity one is setting the table design for. Personally I have always been drawn to settings that allow for stellar tables to show through, such as those that lead the way in the resurgence of farm wood & reclaimed wood tables. I often find that my personal favorites are tablescapes that offer a lot of open space & actual break in design. Simply put, sometimes too much is just too much. Does however, having too much, mean you can't put much of anything on the table? The answer is no actually.
