I had been dogging Casey for sometime to submit a damn wedding to me already!! Finally, I was greeted in my inbox with a submission from Casey and oh how funny can life be... Not only did I love the super Manhattan featured wedding, but the reception took place at.... PUBLIC! Now allow me a small digression for a moment. Hubby & I did finally have our VIP experience at PUBLIC that we had won. With not the slightest bit of embellishment, it was by far one of the nights of our lives. It was....perfection. From Chef Brad, to various staff members there (PS-our waitress was amazing, she really really needs to write a food blog, like now!), to the mega delicious food, to all the wonderful things we got to experience while there, it was beyond a home run. When I saw Casey's submission of a wedding at PUBLIC all those lovely feelings came floating back. Having a close connection with PUBLIC, I thought it would be a rare great opportunity to actually hear a bit from the vendor side of things too. I reached out to the fine ladies and asked for a bit of commentary from their side as well, and they were all to happy to volley up some great stuff about Randi Anderson & Karlo Pastrovic's wedding! So now that I have written a mega intro, allow me to STFU and let you guys get to strolling through this absolutely lovely New York City wedding!!
Allow me to give your mind a bit of mental stretching for a moment. Roughly 2 months ago I featured a super sweet young Asian couple who's engagement session was in the eerily wonderful El Dorado Mine & Ghost Town. The ideas & attention to detail made me eager with anticipation for their wedding, I mean why not! When your couple is willing to sit square in the middle of the road, fist full of balloons, for one hell of a shot, your hopes get pretty high for their wedding day you know what I mean?! Nicole Sibulo & Neal Gregorio finally did tie the knot just recently, marrying in a Spanish mission inspired church on a gorgeous Las Vegas day. The bridesmaids were dressed in light pink flowing Greecianesque dresses, while the bride herself wore a perfectly fitted sweetheart neckline corset top gown with ruched bottom. Manolo Blahnik's firmly placed on her feet, Nicole was off to enjoy her dream day. Gorgeous florals dressed the affair in the softest of pinks with pops of just the right accent colors. Ever one for small fun details, N&N's (thats right, N&N's!) were outfitted in their very own mason jars as gifts for the guests. Nicole & Neal's wedding day was perfectly luxurious with just the right amount of down to earth.
When I first saw this wedding submission, it was the church that truly caught my attention. Perhaps one of the more structurally lovely & stain-glass adorned churches I have seen. Once I got passed the church I realized that today's feature couple, Melanie Siu-shan Hui & Lawrence Santiago Lipana are absolutely captivating & I am in love with their spirit. Just from viewing their wedding photos, I can tell that these two love life, love laughing & even more so, enjoying life with their friends and each other. The wedding is a gorgeous affair of course, but its the moments they share with each other, family & friends through out, that truly make this wedding so wonderful!
Smaller, more intimate weddings can be unbelievably lovely! For a lot of couples, there isnt always a need to have a ton of people around, just a few select guest is all you need and that is exactly what Jennifer Maddock & Carl Copley did for their Italian wedding! Taking a cue from the 60's, bridesmaids were styled in modern beehives, dressed in lovely pale blues. Our bride has such a grand infectious smile and a laugh you can almost hear through the photos. Perhaps my personal favorite part of this wedding is choice of transportation!
