1. Private Residence Hudson Valley Backyard Wedding

“The whole wedding managed to feel at once like the greatest, most important party we had ever been to and just another summer barbecue with our family and best friends.” This incredibly wonderful statement struck me with such truism when I read the start of what Alexa had to say. To be able to slow the day down, take in each special moment, and be able to revel in it is the true beauty behind the wedding day. Alexa and Jon's private residence Hudson Valley backyard wedding is one filled of sentimental detailing. Married at Alexa's family home, the couple shared their I do's in a truly special place, in front of a tiny chapel her great-grandfather built for his wife in the woods behind their home. Flower arrangements included pink and white peonies from Alexa’s father’s garden, which her mother hand picked the month prior, wrapping in newspaper and storing in a refrigerator until a week before the wedding! Escort cards were equally sentimental, a collection of flat stones from around the couple's favorite beaches on Block Island, where Jon proposed to Alexa, with guests’ names painted on them. Guests of the backyard wedding were treated to a raw bar, a roast pig and New Zealand lamb, which was a nod to the groom’s Kiwi heritage. Even Alexa's approach to her wedding dress...

  2. Burgundy & Blues Inspired Romantic Loft Wedding

Burgundy & Blues.  It might sound silly, but its wonderfully fun to say, whats more, it makes for an incredibly lovely color palette!  In a world a wash of pinks, this combo as a starting point is utterly refreshing.  Set in the perfect urban locale, this loft wedding is a mix of elegance and romance.  Featuring a long sleeve lace wedding dress from Memories Bridal , details like a velvet settee and exposed wood sweetheart table help to craft the ambiance to the Ohio loft wedding.  Linens are a strong piece to the overall wedding decor, draped on side tables and gently swirled onto the table top.  Blooms in a mix of primary hues seem to dance above their neutral backgrounds, creating a feel of dynamic movement and life.  Loft weddings are the most wondrous of blank states, all they need is your voice to fly.

  3. Edgy Bohemian Bride Style In Unique Locale

Today's gorgeous bridal inspiration is fun for a few reasons!  For starters, the locale.  I am sure by now you have seen various takes on the ugly location challenge, today's styled shoot however, takes it to a whole new level of astonishing.  Like a page right out of the chic bohemian bride manual, we find a long tressed beauty who ever so elegantly turns the world of a parking garage into her own private oasis.  Featuring a combination of a few bohemian bride looks, the tying theme to each is lace detailing allowing the hair to run free.  This shoot alone should serve as a beacon to ever real couple, to every photographer, that says they simply didnt have anywhere good enough to take amazing portraits.  I very much disagree with that sentiment and I think you'll see why...

  4. Folksy Indie Woodland Wedding With A Boho Spirit

By the sheer nature of their location alone, woodland weddings have a certain magic to them.  Whether the over arching theme is something that of botanical elegance or perhaps something a little more folksy and bohemian, the forest setting offers couples the ability to be whatever it is they want to be. A team of Ohio wedding pros got together to put on an indie inspired woodland wedding that was influenced by acoustic love. Whether late fall or early spring, the styled shoot serves as inspiration for that of a minimalist wedding with a slight touch of BoHo flair.  Featuring a color palette that complements their quiet surroundings, hues of blush, forest green and pale blue bring just the right touch of color.  Details such as the lace table runner covered in foresty greens and skyscraper like candles and the marbled softly hued wedding cake...
