Fantasy weddings can be a truly magical thing. In the wrong hands, a bit of a cacophony to the eyes at times. In the right hands, a beautiful source of inspiration. This styled Wonderland wedding is everything right about pulling from a storybook world. Taking a cue from simple details like colors & decor, the skilled wedding pros created an elevated take to the Wonderland wedding. Set at Wonderland In The Woods, wedding photographer Sabrina Hall Photography, captured each little detail that makes this a true beauty, all starting with an incredible dreamy blue wedding dress from Blanc de Blanc! By focusing on just one aspect of the story, the team pulled together a thoughtful tablescape of tea cups, bell jar installations, and blue glassware from Borrow Rentals that was all kinds of perfection. Florist Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs, inspired by Alice's garden surroundings, created gorgeous floral arrangements that had structure yet featured loose tendrils giving a slightly reclaimed by nature feel. The end result is a take on a Wonderland wedding that is refined & elegant yet wonderfully magical!

In my early childhood years I had the unique privilege of spending a few years on a petite Caribbean island called Montserrat. One of the incredibly cool features to the islands were rich black sand beaches. Ever since then I have always had a sweet spot for these silky smooth oddities! When an Oregon elopement hit my inbox from wedding photographer Blush Creative Photography set on darker sand beaches, I knew I was hooked. The Oregon coastline is a thing of goddess like beauty and the locale of this styled shoot only served to hence the elegant moody affair. A simple sweetheart table with details like seaglass pieces and draped fabric picked up on the natural surroundings. Injecting a touch of color into the neutral surroundings, cool greens, baby blues & pale pinks accented the Oregon elopement. The last piece to the puzzle was a dove grey gown from Joanna August that joyfully danced in the wind. This vision of an Oregon elopement is simple perfection, as an elopement doesn't have to mean something light on style just because there are not a hoard of guests to see it.

A soft, sweet, end of summer beach dream is the best way to describe today's utterly gorgeous Galveston Texas beach wedding from photographer Karen Theresa Photography. With a hand in a little bit of everything, Karen, along with the team of Black Orchid Florist, Paper Roses Studio and Innovative Linens conceived a chic beach side wedding that takes note of some of the more sophisticated detail points the ocean gives us. Working with a cool seaside palette of minty greens, light steely blues, and crisp pale peach, the team put together a tablescape that was all kinds of swoon worthy. Utilizing elements like driftwood, gold candles, and woven chargers, a beachside sweetheart table spelled all kinds of romance. Dialing up the chic for this beach wedding, a vintage lounge was set featuring a velvet settee and surf side bar complete with Johnny Walker Gold and pink bubbles for sipping. There is something extra crave worthy about this Galceston Texas beach wedding, from the dialed up romance to the refined elegance, its aces all around!

When something dark and dreamy comes my way I always get a little more excited. Weddings are always thought of as white, bright, and full tilt classic storybook. The problem is that that particular mindset only truly appeals to a selection of bride, not everyone. I am delighted to be able to share a bridal session that features wonderfully moody bridal style that is inspired by a fairy tale with a bit of edge photographed by Magdalene Photography. This beauty is shoot on location at the secret garden like oasis of Flora Flowershop in Door County, Wisconsin. Featuring a voluminous Mori Lee wedding dress from I Do Bridal of sparkling tulle, our bride begins her journey in a gathered cathedral veil crafted to create a hair fascinator like effect. As the shoot progresses, our bride trades in her more formal veil for a wild and free organic floral crown. Her loose flowing locks and darker makeup by A&A Artistry, pick up on the more sultry dramatic cues, giving us relief from the more storied white weddings we see so often. This moody bridal session is a delight, something I know will appeal to all brides looking for an alternative to the standard weddings we see each day.
