Location is such an important component of just about anything. The right spot for an event can literally make all the difference. Nicole & Patrick's Hudson Valley wedding in Kingston New York absolutely nailed the locale part of the equation capitalizing on the mix of history meets modern that is the Hudson Valley. For the first part of their wedding day, the couple allowed the historic garden side to do the talking featuring stunning old world brick buildings to be the backdrop. Lush strings of greenery hang in the air, as flower clusters and escort cards swung in the wind. For their Hudson Valley wedding reception, the duo brought guests to the modern industrial event space that is the Senate Garage featuring exposed brick, mixed farm wood tables, mini potted succulents and Edison bulb light strands. The end result is a day that is wonderfully classic yet perfectly accented by chic romantic touches that make your head feel just the right kind of swoony. Those seeking a Hudson Valley wedding should take note, Nicole & Patrick's day is all kinds of divine.
This sweet little treat from Ohio wedding photographer DiBlasio Photography showcases what I hope will become a much desired wedding trend of 2017! On paper this bed & breakfast wedding reads like an easy breezy casual affair. It is however, the gorgeous sophisticated styling that sets this orchard wedding apart! Prime for 2017 wedding trends stardom, its the combination of a casual atmosphere met with refined elevated wedding decor details that creates the perfect environment. Nestled in on the garden grounds of The Orchard House Granville, the orchard wedding is brought to life with a mixture of reclaimed wood furniture paired with stately floral china and etched glassware. Keeping with a fresh organic feel that echoes their surroundings, a sprawling centerpiece was crafted for the length of the table featuring a main focal arrangement while utilizing leafy vines and ferns to creep outward. No orchard wedding would be complete without some of its local fare utilized as accents, as such, plums and apples dance throughout the tablescape. In the spirit of the modern boho bride, the team selected an art deco inspired lace body hugging gown from La Jeune Mariee Bridal Boutique. The wedding dress was paired with a jeweled headpiece, the refined answer to the floral crown...

Pure Texas bliss is the best way to sum up Heidi and Ethan's dreamy little Belton Texas wedding. Every detail was chosen to evoke an elevated sense of Texas romance, from the farm wood reception tables set with vintage chairs and china to the neatly folded napkins, each accented by a rosemary clipping to greet the guests. Mercury glass candles dotted the room providing the perfect romantic setting, while a bountiful statement floral suspended centerpiece swayed over the sweetheart table. Matching in floral awe, the couple's ceremony arch was accented by generous blooms in a gorgeous asymmetrical design that was as stunning as it was stately. To capture the southwest spirit of a Texas wedding, the groom's cake, a simple white buttercream treat baked by the Heidi's 86 year old grandmother, was topped with 2 cactus hearts, hand selected by the groom, paired with donut towers, the groom's favorite! The dreamy elevated feel to this Texas wedding makes for a chic blush colored wedding day, one I know many will love!

Having just styled a chemistry wedding myself, my ears perked up a bit extra when this geology wedding hit my inbox! Pretty weddings are pretty, but there really is something to be said for those that have a unique vision and are articulated in such a meaningful and beautiful way! Inspired by the bride who cringes at lace and feels more at home with dirt under her french manicured nails, D.Lillian Photography put together what she calls The Geologist's Guide To Highway 1. The intimate and small setting was crafted with those in mind that love nature. Filled with delightful wedding decor that celebrates a geology wedding, details like a field guide book, camping lanterns, geodes, and potters plates add the perfect touches. In lieu of a traditional dessert display, our bride simply pops open her Outback, showcasing delicious treats upon her textbooks and supplies. The beauty to this geology wedding is that it celebrates something outside the wedding norm, all while proving to be equally as stylish and beautiful.
