1. Makapuu Beach Sunrise Hawaiian Boudoir Adorned By Roses

Boudoir is often thought of in only one way…. lingerie clad and overly sexy.  There are, in fact, many other stunning & wonderful interpretations of boudoir, not all in lingerie either.  Today’s styled shoot from wedding photographer Vanessa Hicks Photography rides a gorgeous line between Hawaiian boudoir meets sunrise bridal session.  No matter which you decide to color with, it’s a delicious treat.  Starting at 4am, (4am!) Vanessa headed out with model Leslie to the rocky shores of Makapuu Beach, armed with a lush tropical flower crown & rose adorned veil courtesy of florist Creative Concepts by Jeff .  The duo found the most amazing locale for this Hawaiian boudoir meets bridals, a locale forged of volcanic earth, carved out by the mighty pacific. While some models might not have been up for the cold, wind, & getting wet by the waves, Leslie delivered in so many ways.  Wearing a simple, classic white one piece swimsuit, the pairing of the floral crown and cathedral length veil take us into an ethereal world drenched in yummy golden hues.  Leslie is one of the rare ones, able to render you spellbound by her direct to camera eyes the very same way she is able to with her megawatt smile...

  2. Butler Barn Oregon Winter Wedding

A winter wedding is a unique experience unlike one during any other season.  Couples that opt for a cold weather wedding don't just simply identify with the season but utterly adore the little details that go along with it.  A team of Oregon wedding pros sought to capture the spirit of a winter wedding, all while putting their cozy chic twist on it.  Set in the misty boysenberry fields of Butler Barn, Oregon wedding photographer Hazel Eye Photography was on hand to bring the cold weather vision to life in a perfectly moody way.  Teaming up with Peachy Keen Coordination & Thistle and Fern Floral, some of the very best aspects of a winter world were chosen to play with. Imagine a cozy lounge setup, complete with plaid throw blanket, furry winter boots and oversized hot chocolates.  A petite evergreen adorned with thinly sliced wood ornaments turned guest book.  A personal favorite to the Oregon winter wedding, a stunning white wedding cake featuring a cable knit sweater fondant overlay!  To bring the winter bridal look, real flowers and berries were woven into the hair, while a rosebud wrap served as warmth.  Lastly, farm elements like an old Ford pickup, boysenberry fields backdrop and a surprise guest in the form of Hei Hei the wonderfully cool Silkie chicken made an appearance bringing everything together.  If you're considering a winter wedding yourself I implore you to take this cold temperature beauty as winter inspiration gold!

  3. Exceptionally Gorgeous Moody Australian Elopement

There are few things that, from a creative standpoint, get me out of bed in the morning.  Rather I should say, there are few things that lock me snuggled into bed as I dreamily glide through each image, entranced by what I see.  Moody, earthy artful yumminess is certainly on that short list.  When I stumbled upon Australian wedding photographer Ine Ertvaag Photography styled elopement along the Australian coastline, you can best believe I didnt budge one inch out of bed. In fact I snuggled down hard as I walked through each and every frame of the elopement.  The brilliance to the way that Ine captured such a simple (lacking in details :0 ) elopement is the very fingerprint to why, if dont value you wedding photography, true good wedding photography, you're a bloody fool.  I wasn't there, but you better believe I was standing right next to them as I leafed through the story.  I felt my own hair a complete mess, pushed around with reckless abandon by the wind.  My eyes ached with each adjustment to the fading light.  My own skin felt of the very same goosebumps Ine captured as the tendrils of the Gwendolynne wedding dress beat against her skin.  True, honest, & worthy wedding photography is not about being able to look back at images and think to yourself, yup thats is what happened.  Its about seeing even a solitary image and feeling as if it comes alive...

  4. Dark Romance – A Romantic Woodland Wedding

For those that are bold enough, adventurous enough, and most certainly open-minded enough, there is a whole other world to be had when it comes to styling your wedding.  Wedding photographers The Byrd Sisters Films teamed up with Alexis Solano Events to create a gorgeously dark and romantic woodland wedding that will leave your head swooning!  Tucked away into the wooded hills of  Malibu Phoenix, like a special little secret, the team of local wedding pros turned an otherwise masculine color palette on its head into a thing of glorious beauty.  While the sweetheart table, covered in mood blooms accented by a regal place setting is certainly repeat worthy, its all about the attention grabbing desserts for me.  Whats a dark romantic woodland wedding without an incredibly pin worthy black wedding cake??  What could one pair with such a beauty, why black 'candied' apples of course!  From the lusciously dark photography to the moody chic styling, I dare you not to covet this dark romance.
