Everyone's definition of a romantic setting varies slightly, but my word it is hard to argue with a gorgeous industrial loft setting like the one at Seattle's own Axis Pioneer Square! Spearheaded by the owner of Seattle's new specialty rental company Fanciful Rentals, a romantic candle lite loft wedding was crafted featuring a mix of antique furniture and decor. Working with a strong wedding color palette of blush, red & ivory, vintage blue floral china and a steel grey linen were choosen as the perfect counterbalance to soften. Playing off the blue floral found in the table setting, a highlight to the loft wedding design was a light beige love seat lounge accented by 2 gorgeous stately toile pillows! As if details like taper candles and vintage champagne flutes filled with rose champagne weren't enough, the team really embodied romance for this styled loft wedding utilizing a lace top BHLDN wedding dress and understated accessories. The last piece to the puzzle, tying the loft wedding together, were the bold florals from Verde & Co. that were equal parts fresh and modern. The beauty to a loft wedding is how the space can transform into just about anything you dream up. Easily one of the most versatile locales, its no wonder that these urban wedding venues are such a prize!

Early spring is a truly fun time to head to the woods. Life is still pretty quiet and the temperature is almost utter perfection for snuggling! Molly & Matt teamed up with Wisconsin wedding photographer McNiel Photography to head out to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail for a woods engagement session. After something a bit more fun & unique then a simple forest session, the couple enlisted KP Designs to create a swoony enchanted camping world for them to play in! With a few choice vintage decor pieces in place such as book planters, an old radio and retro tins made into planters, the scene was set. Literary touches were a gorgeous underlying theme to their wood engagement session inspired by something Matt's grandparents used to say. Matt's grandpa met his grandmother when he was in Ireland during World War II, and soon after brought her to the US as his bride. They always called each other their "everlovin'" as it was apparently an Irish term. Before Matt's Grandma passed away, she made a point to tell them that she knew they were each other's Everlovin'. Ever since it has stuck for them, and serves as the perfect touch to tie their woods engagement session together!
Dark, dreamy and passionately glamorous is the perfect way to articulate this beautiful gem of a same sex geometric wedding from the collaboration of planner At Your Door Events and California wedding photographer Kristina Lee Photography. Set at the incredible Ebell of Long Beach, the duo created a glamorous wonderland infused with stately elegance. A rich color palette of dark reds, burgundy, black & gold set the tone while wedding decor in the form of geometric wedding magic took shape. The dessert display showpiece, crafted & designed by Twos A Party, serves as the perfect jump off point, walking us through a wash of patterns and shapes in various forms from the circular gold frame display down to the stunning three tier geometric wedding cake from Rooney Girl Bakeshop. To pick up and pair with the moody drama of their estate courtyard surroundings, the brides were treated to a vintage love seat sweetheart table dressed in vintage plates & chargers. Florist Pixies Petals draped the table in a veiled curtain of lush greens while dotting it with small clusters of floral pops, each showcased in muted gilded vases. With such a gorgeously dramatic surrounding to play in, the last piece to the puzzle was the incredible styling of both the ladies. Playing with light and dark, one wore...

Today's wedding is extra special to me in a way that no other wedding ever could be. First and foremost, its the couple... my little sister and the one who finally stole her heart. Secondly, its their uniquely cool chemistry wedding theme that I had the pleasure of articulating for them in styling and florals. When I look back I realize how much their wedding was a true unintentional fingerprint of just who my sister and I are, two very different people. She, an engineer; myself, creatively minded. When Christy & James got engaged a million ideas started to flow about their wedding. Gatsby Gatsby, Art Deco!! Very quickly after exploring venues they realized that while they loved the idea, it wasn't them. Soon enough they knew the right choice, an organic chemistry wedding nestled into their very own backyard. Immediately following that decision came the science flavored shopping spree of beakers, test tubes, microscopes, vintage chemistry sets (complete with mercury, yes mercury!), pipettes, and so many more delicious items that I will allow you to discover on your own. While those wedding decor elements are amazing as is, Christy & James' have a pension for cool interior decor pieces in the home that we had our eye on. These vintage furniture pieces were immediately liberated from their home...
