1. Rustic Winter Harvest Wedding With A Boho Spirit

Love.  Its often described through certain colors, certain flowery descriptors.  The truth is, love doesnt fit into one perfect box.  Love is also deep, dark, mysterious, brooding, angry, fierce, tormented and often wildly intense.  While today is surely to be filled with stereotypical interpretations,  I offer a version of the moody side in the form of The Gather Workshop.  A collection of Michigan's wedding pros got together to create a unique and thoughtful styled shoot that is a gorgeous marriage of rustic winter meets harvest wedding.  Working with the stark and bare world that fills our field of vision in the winter months, the team brought life to the harvest wedding by utilizing a bounty of earthly goods.  Fresh elements like ornamental and real cabbages, artichokes, carrots, peppers, apples and so much more appear in places like bouquets and table settings.  From a wedding fashion standpoint, the dress is boho chic, accented by the lush and overflowing floral crown, a harvest wedding must.  Our bride's winter wrap and antler detailing are reminders of season, while a table nestled between the evergreen's provides the perfect amount of green to take our minds...

  2. Poinsettia Farm Red Essence Spanish Wedding With Eclectic Detailing

In my time I have seen some incredible Spanish weddings.  No matter what the artistic direction might be, there are two elements always present, style & passion.  When wedding planner La Puesta en Escena sent this red essence Spanish wedding my way, set in the unique locale of a poinsettia farm, I was immediately captivated by all it had to offer.  The location, the styling, the incredibly unique bouquet and the delicious moodiness with which it was all captured spoke to me.  I also love the insight on why the location was so choice, "The poinsettia, so recognized as a Christmas plant, has a lot of work, (to become a full size plant) which made me think about a wedding. It needs 6 months of preparation, from planting the cutting until it starts to bloom.  All this taking care of it with care and nutrients."  Joined by Spanish wedding photographer Carlos Lucca Fotografo, the team pulled together a dark & wondrous styled shoot that spills of moody love and deep red passion.  While each image speaks for itself in this moody Spanish wedding, do not miss the in's and out's of why each element was chosen after the gallery.  This is not your cookie cutter wedding, and for that, I could not love it anymore than I currently do.

  3. Rustic Elegant Wedding Perfection At Tennessee’s Candoro Marble Factory

Of all the different styles one could put together when it comes to wedding design, a true favorite for me is rustic elegance. It is also, in my opinion, one that isn’t the easiest to pull off. As a rule, to craft a wedding like this, you need to start with an elegant wedding style as a foundation much the way TeamWedding, and The Bride Link have done. To then massage in rustic wedding décor, you need to understand the nuances that make it so, allowing that to guide your décor selections. Simply opting for a wood table isn’t quite enough. Choose the wrong one and it looks more ragged than sophisticated. French country style does an unbelievably gorgeous job of crafting rustic elegance. Polished, yet gently worn, natural and wholesome all while encompassing regal perfection, much the way the natural wood table and modern black plates from All Occasion Tent & Party Rentals do. Location is key, you can almost never have any sort of an elegant wedding without a venue that first exudes elegance, much like the one here at the incredible Candoro Marble Factory. Then there is the fashion, it’s pretty impossible to have an elegant wedding without stunning wedding attire choices that drip in style like the Gilded Gown and Regal Tuxedo showcased here. Driving this dreamy rustic elegant wedding home is the artful eye...

  4. Brooding Romance Antelope Island Utah Wedding

Not everyone craves a cookie cutter wedding, nor should they.  The stylish fashion forward bride is probably my absolute favorite.  Color, is nothing to her but a vehicle for style.  Black, white, fuchsia, they are all equal, what matters is how evocative one feels over another given its overall design.  For those leaning toward a more moody & mysterious wedding style, something like this Gothic chic Utah wedding hits on all the right levels.  With a hearty focus on wedding fashion, this sophisticated formal exudes atmospheric perfection.  All starting with a black wedding dress from Bling It On Dress Rentals, details like sheer long sleeves accented by hand beaded detailing and a cafe au lait underlay are the touches that elevate & add intrigue.  Dialing up the brooding romance allure, a bridal up-do just the right balance of undone polish, plays a heavy hand into the romance factor.  The rest of this dark & dreamy Utah wedding is the sweeping landscapes that is Antelope Island, captured with beauty by wedding photographer Ashley Smith Photography.
