A little while back now I had the incredible opportunity to visit with the absolutely amazing team that makes up Sandals Resorts, specifically in a few of their Jamaica locations such as Sandals Montego Bay & Sandals South Coast. The purpose of the trip was both to experience the unique opportunities that each and every Sandals guest has available to them, as well as take in their incredibly cool Aisle to Isle destination wedding program. Its true, there are a lot of places one could celebrate their destination wedding. What you really need to do is ask yourself, do they offer you the ability to personalize your wedding in every single aspect, delivering with luxury level design detailing? Do they afford you the ability to just show up, and actually be a guest at your own wedding, versus running around for all those last minute errands and projects like so many do?? With 18 resorts around the Caribbean, there is certainly at least one that will catch your eye, and remember, get married at one, honeymoon at a another!

Location is such an important component of just about anything. The right spot for an event can literally make all the difference. Nicole & Patrick's Hudson Valley wedding in Kingston New York absolutely nailed the locale part of the equation capitalizing on the mix of history meets modern that is the Hudson Valley. For the first part of their wedding day, the couple allowed the historic garden side to do the talking featuring stunning old world brick buildings to be the backdrop. Lush strings of greenery hang in the air, as flower clusters and escort cards swung in the wind. For their Hudson Valley wedding reception, the duo brought guests to the modern industrial event space that is the Senate Garage featuring exposed brick, mixed farm wood tables, mini potted succulents and Edison bulb light strands. The end result is a day that is wonderfully classic yet perfectly accented by chic romantic touches that make your head feel just the right kind of swoony. Those seeking a Hudson Valley wedding should take note, Nicole & Patrick's day is all kinds of divine.
A winter wedding is a unique experience unlike one during any other season. Couples that opt for a cold weather wedding don't just simply identify with the season but utterly adore the little details that go along with it. A team of Oregon wedding pros sought to capture the spirit of a winter wedding, all while putting their cozy chic twist on it. Set in the misty boysenberry fields of Butler Barn, Oregon wedding photographer Hazel Eye Photography was on hand to bring the cold weather vision to life in a perfectly moody way. Teaming up with Peachy Keen Coordination & Thistle and Fern Floral, some of the very best aspects of a winter world were chosen to play with. Imagine a cozy lounge setup, complete with plaid throw blanket, furry winter boots and oversized hot chocolates. A petite evergreen adorned with thinly sliced wood ornaments turned guest book. A personal favorite to the Oregon winter wedding, a stunning white wedding cake featuring a cable knit sweater fondant overlay! To bring the winter bridal look, real flowers and berries were woven into the hair, while a rosebud wrap served as warmth. Lastly, farm elements like an old Ford pickup, boysenberry fields backdrop and a surprise guest in the form of Hei Hei the wonderfully cool Silkie chicken made an appearance bringing everything together. If you're considering a winter wedding yourself I implore you to take this cold temperature beauty as winter inspiration gold!

As someone who has delivered a number of styled editorals for major brands, I say with no hesitation that articulating an idea isn't always the easiest task! Certain creatives (themes) come together easily while others, those more abstract in nature, really require your art director A-game to evolve and fully bake. Imagine selecting a style that is derived from the heavens themselves, the very clouds that dance around us! Now imagine turning that inspiration into actual tangible things, no easy task right? Exactly that principle is what I am utterly loving about this styled cloudscape wedding. This team of wedding pros from Atlanta, Georgia's ability to turn an almost intangible concept, into a dreamy wedding you can actually touch. Dancing in a palette of whites, grays and blues, the team put together a cloudscape wedding this is equal parts romantic as it is minimalist modern. I wont spoil it by ranting on about the various details, I'll allow your mind to wander the very same way it does when you gaze up at the clouds on a sunny day...
