1. Free Spirited Boho Chic Albuquerque New Mexico Elopement

One of the things that I love most about blogging about the wedding world is realizing how wonderfully cool elopements & super small weddings can be. It seems that moving forward these days, there are more & more couple's who simply dont identify with a larger weddings complete with all the trimmings. Instead these couples, still seeking out a chic affair, focus on great unique style that represents the couple to the core, minimum to no guest lists & gorgeous photography in which to capture each special moment. The results are increasingly cool, thoughtful & often times some of my all time favorites! Wedding photographer Latisha Lyn Photography thought that elopements should get the same special styled shoot treatment as their bigger counterparts and for that I could not be more grateful! Captured in her signature moody style, Latisha brings to life a free spirited boho couple who wanted nothing more then to be surrounded by the rustic snow brushed mountains in New Mexico, to hike a bit, find just the right spot and simply profess their love. Naturally some stunning flowers from Amy Nicole Floral Studio were in order for our bride as well as the perfect dress from Free People, a free flowing white dress with black floral accents, softly blowing in the wind, just like our free spirited couple!

  2. A Woodsy Rustic Elopement In Montana’s Captivating Glacier National Park

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the size of the wedding doesn't matter, its the amount of love put into it! Kelsey Bielenberg & Austin Eischeid traveled from Iowa to be surrounded by mother nature's magic, saying their vows along the shores of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park. Donning a simple short lace wedding dress, Kelsey was every bit the free spirit bride while Austin was dapper as could be! Soft yellows & cream were the couple's signature colors, while a wildflower like bouquet & cake topper brought a real rustic woodsy feel. With no shortage of beautiful locations to shoot, Kelly Kirksey Photography scored not only some gorgeous shots showing off the beauty of the park, but wonderfully highlight just how sweet these two truly are. Kelsey & Austin kept their wedding small, centered around them and let their love shine through!

  3. A SXSW Engagement Leads To Gorgeous Vintage Inspired Art House Wedding At Hotel Saint Cecilia

I have a major crush you guys... and its on this wedding!! I know we don't play favorites here, but.... you know, off the record and all, this miiiiight be in my top tops, just sayin! Starting with the couple's {Amber Smith & Charles McGaw} love story which crescendo's around their love of music & engagement at THE live music festivals of festivals, SXSW, to finding THE most amazing lil boutique hotel to call their own with their closets family & friends. If that weren't enough, I adore this couple's style & swag and it clearly comes out in spades on their day in both personal style as well as decor touches, even the their invitations which center around music in the form of records, yes records! with custom labels containing wedding info and so on! Genius! What puts me over the top about this wedding however is the incredibly beautiful & artful stylings of the imagery shoot by the wondrous Suzuran Photography. Not only are the finishings on the 'normal' photographs lovely, but ah.... hello!, Polaroid amazingness at play here, & ya'll know how much I love a good Polaroid! Yet again another absolutely beautiful example of how an intimate wedding can be equally as gorgeous as their big budget tons of guests counter parts. Love love love!!!

  4. An Intimate Modern Wedding Done Napa Valley Style, Inns & Private Winery Rooms

Lately I have been getting a rash of petite intimate weddings, even out right engagements and I gotta say I am loving whats happening here. Why you ask? If a couple knows themselves, their limitations or their personal preferences enough to know that a big ol'affair isn't their style, I really respect their decision to truly keep the day as they see fit! I am also seeing a lot of couples who even though they have a small wedding, or again out right elope, they aren't skimping on the details & photography! Just because you want something small, doesn't mean that it can't be gorgeous & designed all the same! Britt Azlin & Ryan Rayburn opted to scale down their wedding day and head to a place that held special meaning to them in Napa Valley. The result is a beautifully swoony day filled with billowy peonies & Vera Wang along with some serious style and sophistication all captured by White Ivory Photography!
