Tapping into Virginia horse country elegance, Charlotte & Charles kept their Virginia wedding beautifully classic. Working with a soft more organic color palette of blush & gold, the the reception at Buchanan Hall was like a living Virginia countryside filed with fresh roses, dripping moss and evergreens. While gilded chargers & golden flatware shined, it was the beauty in the simplicity that truly stole the show. All the was left was for Charlotte & Charles to enjoy in ever special moment their classic Virginia wedding day allowed!
I have a fairly deep soft spot for the south, swear I was a southern gal in a former life, with an even deeper soft spot for the lowcountry, Charleston type areas to be specific. I am not sure why but Charleston weddings seem to keep finding me and I could not be more thrilled to continue to share them. They are romantically delicious from a locale standpoint but also the beauty & elegance of the people that embrace it are utterly enchanting. Southerners themselves, Lauren & James wanted to capitalize on their College of Charleston romance, getting married in old village of Mt. Pleasant hosting a beauty of a lowcountry wedding. With the gracious aid & artistic styling of mother of the groom, wedding planner Cricket Newman Designs, the couple took the beauty around them as inspiration. From bridesmaid dresses that echoed the Spanish mass swinging from oak trees to a soft color palette that intermixed with elegant blooms & fine china details, the day had all the polish you'd expect from a southern lowcountry wedding.

I'm not quite sure exactly what it is, but I find Italian brides so incredibly regal & stoic in the most beautiful of ways. I think its the confidence that they are born with and a pose that is second nature. As such, the breathtaking Italian wedding of Inger & Tony Aarsbog has me utterly spellbound from the hauntingly beautiful hillside locale of Villa Cimbrone to the sophisticated & polished attire throughout right down to the flower girls. Having been together for over 13 years, Inger & Tony now have 3 lovely children who have not just been woven into their lives, but are some of the sweetest parts of the wedding day, such as the touching mother & daughter getting ready photographs beautifully snapped by Italian wedding photographer Gianni di Natale. As if sentiment & beauty weren't enough to capture your attention, then perhaps it is the crypt locale for the reception that will get your wedding pulses raising. Vaulted stone arched ceilings, hillside vista views punctuated by...

St.Bart's, to me, has always been this somewhat mystically magical place. Growing up my sister and I only know of St.Bart's as this far off tropical destination my parents would go once on a year on a no kids allowed vacation. Later down the road in life I had the opportunity to take in the breathtaking beauty that is St.Bart's myself, and a beauty she is indeed, a gem of the French West Indies like no other. Swept up by the captivating charm that is the French influenced petite isle, Lindsey & Tyler knew it was the perfect blend of old world rustic meets paradise to make their St. Bart's wedding dream true. In effort to share the island so completely with family & friends, guests were invited to spend the week taking the sophisticated yet low-key destination to heart. Polish & understated refined details ran throughout the day from gorgeous fashion such as Lindsey's killer Vera Wang sash to her sister & maid of honor's turquoise striped dress. The rest of the day was painted in a wash of movie set like beauty from white steeple churches, vista views and travel photo sacred finishings. Details like driving to the wedding in a convertible Fiat, racing to catch shoreline sunset stolen moments and dancing on a private beach under the stars are some of the highlights that make this St.Bart's wedding pure bliss.
