1. Private Residence Hudson Valley Backyard Wedding

“The whole wedding managed to feel at once like the greatest, most important party we had ever been to and just another summer barbecue with our family and best friends.” This incredibly wonderful statement struck me with such truism when I read the start of what Alexa had to say. To be able to slow the day down, take in each special moment, and be able to revel in it is the true beauty behind the wedding day. Alexa and Jon's private residence Hudson Valley backyard wedding is one filled of sentimental detailing. Married at Alexa's family home, the couple shared their I do's in a truly special place, in front of a tiny chapel her great-grandfather built for his wife in the woods behind their home. Flower arrangements included pink and white peonies from Alexa’s father’s garden, which her mother hand picked the month prior, wrapping in newspaper and storing in a refrigerator until a week before the wedding! Escort cards were equally sentimental, a collection of flat stones from around the couple's favorite beaches on Block Island, where Jon proposed to Alexa, with guests’ names painted on them. Guests of the backyard wedding were treated to a raw bar, a roast pig and New Zealand lamb, which was a nod to the groom’s Kiwi heritage. Even Alexa's approach to her wedding dress...

  2. Dreamy Romantic Tent Wedding At St. Regis Deer Valley

If the idea of a white wedding is something you crave, but working out how to execute it in a manner other than something Billy Idol would be proud of eludes you, I have a feeling today's utterly dreamy St. Regis Deer Valley Utah tent wedding will inspire every bit of you! The beauty to the wedding, working with a color palette that was all about crisp white! Cara & Jay, wanting to work with a fresh clean slate, opted to use a clear tent for their reception. By filling the tent with long wood reception tables, the couple created a unique mirror effect that bounced off their clear surroundings. This effect was then echoed off the long table lines by hanging glass candle filled bubbles from above. On the tables below, Utah florist L Floral Studio utilized a mix of scabiosa, ranunculus, anemone, stock, roses, lisianthus, allium and more, set in clusters down the center of the table, creating an 'up in the clouds' like feel for the guests. The final piece to the puzzle were the gorgeous cut branches that hang from above, injecting the most perfect organic feel, accented by low light humming chandeliers. A tent wedding can be such a gorgeous playground...
