1. Early Autumn Golden Hour Dream Forest Wedding At Historic Castle Rock

There is an undeniable beauty to the light that falls just as the sun is setting, a light lovingly referred to as 'Golden Hour'.  A warm honey hue cast all around, the light in just the right place within the sky to create dreamy halos.  A time of year when golden hour is especially delicious is the end of summer, a time when fall ever so slightly begins to peek through.  Wedding photographer Rachel Fugate wanted to harness that earthly beauty, putting together a romantic styled shoot at the Historic Rock Castle that evoked a dark early autumn forest wedding feel.  Riding the line between a indie style meets haunting sophistication, the shoot serves as a love letter of inspiration to those looking to stylistically be their own.  Another key element at play that makes the dark forest wedding so successful is the hearty earthy nod found in elements like the two tier wedding cake adorned with blooms and berries, and an utterly to die for hand-tied bouquet by Hannah Jones.  Each capitalizes on elements derived from the earth, displayed in such a way that their true beauty and rich falling loving hues become stars all their own.  This late summer forest wedding is the stuff winter dreams are made of, the kind that leaves you swoony in the head for the beauty of things to come.

  2. Gorgeously Chic Fort Gary Hotel Winnipeg Wedding

I'll be the first to admit, I'm floored each and every time I come across a couple who has known one another & dated since childhood.  Its such an incredible thing to me, to be seated next to your soulmate from the very start.  Grace & Carlo are the sweetest example of just that, love that lasted from a very young age.  Meeting all the way back in kindergarten, going on a 'first date' in 8th grade, its fair to say these two evolved through life together in such a beautiful way.  For their Winnipeg wedding, the duo opted for the stylish Fort Garry Hotel as their backdrop, allowing their modern romantic day to bloom.  Details like suspended geometric shapes, lush dripping greens, a candle light reception and marble accenting might be the elements that catch your eye, its the couple's incredible wedding fashion that does it for us!  A Pronovias wedding dress that fits as if it were quite literally made right upon Grace and groom fashion that is right out of GQ, I dare you not to eat up it all up.  True there are many things to love about this Winnipeg wedding, it is however the portrait sessions by wedding photographer Sambajoy in the greenhouse that leave us love struck, though, its pretty hard to beat the classroom bridal party sequence!  Much love for this incredibly stylish Winnipeg wedding, classic, ever so romantic and all kinds of timeless perfection.

  3. North Carolina’s Flyway Lodge Rustic Wedding

Rustic weddings come in all forms, down home country, rustic chic and out right farm style.  A team of North Carolina wedding pros got together to highlight the beauty that can be of a rustic wedding at Flyway Lodge.  Overlooking the Currituck sound, the historic Flyway Lodge features wood beamed ceilings, solid Oak paneled walls with herringbone brick floors  The beauty to its locale is that it is peacefully located on the water and perfect for a rustic wedding.  As if that weren't enough to entice, the property also features a weathered blue barn, something our team cleverly staged for a portrait session!  With lots of nuggets to steal and make your own, this styled shoot will surely get your creative juices flowing when it comes time to plan your very own rustic wedding, chic or down home!

  4. Exceptionally Gorgeous Moody Australian Elopement

There are few things that, from a creative standpoint, get me out of bed in the morning.  Rather I should say, there are few things that lock me snuggled into bed as I dreamily glide through each image, entranced by what I see.  Moody, earthy artful yumminess is certainly on that short list.  When I stumbled upon Australian wedding photographer Ine Ertvaag Photography styled elopement along the Australian coastline, you can best believe I didnt budge one inch out of bed. In fact I snuggled down hard as I walked through each and every frame of the elopement.  The brilliance to the way that Ine captured such a simple (lacking in details :0 ) elopement is the very fingerprint to why, if dont value you wedding photography, true good wedding photography, you're a bloody fool.  I wasn't there, but you better believe I was standing right next to them as I leafed through the story.  I felt my own hair a complete mess, pushed around with reckless abandon by the wind.  My eyes ached with each adjustment to the fading light.  My own skin felt of the very same goosebumps Ine captured as the tendrils of the Gwendolynne wedding dress beat against her skin.  True, honest, & worthy wedding photography is not about being able to look back at images and think to yourself, yup thats is what happened.  Its about seeing even a solitary image and feeling as if it comes alive...
