A great love story, everyone wants one. Hanah & Michael Lim have one, both figuratively & literally! Hanah & Michael met on a blind date, both falling head first only to figure out the timing wasnt quite right for them. Fast forward to 2 years later, the phone magically rings & an engagement on Mount Kilimanjaro later and as they say, the rest is history! I should apologize up front for the length of today's feature, but I wont! Between the immense amount of terrific details & Orange County wedding photographer Matthew Morgan Photography gorgeous gift for story telling through imagery, it simply felt unjust to whittle down the story... I mean we are telling a love story here! Both Hanah & Michael are English majors as well as high school teachers, a love of books & a theme of a love story was the perfect choice for their wedding day! Armed with willing friends & family while surrounding themselves with super creative people, the couple was able to pull off a truly gorgeous DIY wedding, all on a modest teacher's salary. Blending literary elements with a garden like vibe, the stage was set with books upon books serving as table numbers & signage, invitations & programs in the form of books, library card style notebooks for guests & so much more. Bright yellow flowers & rich green moss beautifully intermixed with their novel counterparts, with areas set in a topiary like style. The result is a dreamy world with words are whispered & heart strings tugged all gorgeously photographed by Orange County wedding photographer Matthew Morgan Photography. Hanah & Michael's wedding is a stunning example of the type of magic that can be pulled off with the right kind of effort!

A lot of heart & a lot of soul went into the making of country music singer Emily Hearn's private residence country chic wedding. Not surprisingly so, music was what brought Emily together with her love, Michael Harrison, thanks to some crafty friends & a blind date set up. Smitten from the start, it wasnt long before Emily & Michael knew forever was theirs together! Wanting to keep the events as intimate & central to the couple as possible, with the aid of friends & family, the couple constructed a day which included a hand built make-shift outdoor chapel, homey beverage stations, & a mix of home baked style cakes from The Grit, all of which guests enjoyed while outdoors surrounded by the lush forest & strands of lights! The wedding party donned a laid back dress up casual style in a mix of khakis, blues & mix matched champagne toned dresses, the perfect accent for their deeply green surroundings. As if the wedding alone wasnt beautiful enough, Emily penned a song 'Found A Heart' about Michael's proposal & taking that next step, in which the video even features moments from their wedding. I am utterly in love with this song & it really should be a new wedding song classic! Dont miss the video at the end of the post!

The dress, the flowers, the succulent covered cake, the details, the location!! Today's gorgeous rustic summer wedding is another affirmation to me that Charleston, South Carolina weddings are where its at! Set on the ever dreamy & picturesque Boone Hall Plantation, Brooke Lassiter & Matt Nesbit took full advantage of everything a southern wedding could be, from getting married at the Cotton Dock in the marsh, to portraits under giant oaks dripping with Spanish moss, each moment beautifully captured by South Carolina wedding photographer Priscilla Thomas Photography! Brooke's bridal style is certainly a highlight, being equal parts chic, boho & wonderfully full of free spirit with Brooke owning the heck out of her champagne-hued Rosecliff Gown from BHDLN, which she perfectly finished with a floral crown of springy greens & yellow petite blooms. The same level of style was put into their day with details ranging from their weathered gray wood signage, strand lights, wedding photos of family members, even the names of the tables, those of popular streets in Charleston. Brooke & Matt's cake is another true treat, a whipped buttercream cake frosted with spatula texture finished with groupings of everyone's favorite, succulents! Of course a wedding would not be complete without all the family members, Brooke & Matt's dogs joined in on the fun and the free spirited style with floral crowns of their own! This wedding is a stunning mashup of sophistication & relaxation and I know you're going to love every minute of it as much as I do!

Points for creativity & inspiration right out of the gate! Jessica & Andrew Seraphin have a special place in their heart for the mountainous regions of the west coast, Yosemite National Park to be precise. As they begin the planning process their first inclination was to have a destination wedding among the towering peaks of the Rockies but soon realized doing so would eliminate some of their guest lists, a tender concern for them. Instead of feeling defeated, Jessica & Andrew infused the spirit, essence, & country like style of Yosemite into their Massachusetts fete, ultimate landing on the The Red Lion Inn which was the perfect place to bring it all to life! Covet worthy wedding photographer Zac Wolf Photography, carefully captured each memory, even artfully snapping moments that had a real Rocky Mountain feel bringing the couple's infusion of Yosemite full circle! Keeping true to the outdoorsy country spirit, flowers were stems of wildflower like blooms, thick cut wood slices graced the tables while bandannas served as napkins & homemade apple butter gifts that Jessica herself, along with her bridesmaids, crafted for the guests! Andrew certainly got into his country like role though giving his attire a chic New England twist in a well fitted suit finished with a sizable western-style silver belt buckle! If you didn't know that the couple were married just outside of Boston, you would easily think that their fete took place someplace out west with a mountain range not far behind. Jessica & Andrew's day is a gorgeous reminder that sometimes you don't have to go to the destination, you can bring it to you!
