1. Love Story Costa Mesa California Wedding With Garden Topiary Feel

A great love story, everyone wants one. Hanah & Michael Lim have one, both figuratively & literally! Hanah & Michael met on a blind date, both falling head first only to figure out the timing wasnt quite right for them. Fast forward to 2 years later, the phone magically rings & an engagement on Mount Kilimanjaro later and as they say, the rest is history! I should apologize up front for the length of today's feature, but I wont! Between the immense amount of terrific details & Orange County wedding photographer Matthew Morgan Photography gorgeous gift for story telling through imagery, it simply felt unjust to whittle down the story... I mean we are telling a love story here! Both Hanah & Michael are English majors as well as high school teachers, a love of books & a theme of a love story was the perfect choice for their wedding day! Armed with willing friends & family while surrounding themselves with super creative people, the couple was able to pull off a truly gorgeous DIY wedding, all on a modest teacher's salary. Blending literary elements with a garden like vibe, the stage was set with books upon books serving as table numbers & signage, invitations & programs in the form of books, library card style notebooks for guests & so much more. Bright yellow flowers & rich green moss beautifully intermixed with their novel counterparts, with areas set in a topiary like style. The result is a dreamy world with words are whispered & heart strings tugged all gorgeously photographed by Orange County wedding photographer Matthew Morgan Photography. Hanah & Michael's wedding is a stunning example of the type of magic that can be pulled off with the right kind of effort!

The endless stream of creativity in weddings now a days is inspiring to no end. Not too long ago Green Wedding Shoes featured a styled shoot with a focus on dreamy vintage fall inspiration & it was pretty much as amazing as it might sound. A mix of blues, palettes of green hues, gentle browns & ivory all done with a the perfect earthy touch. There are so many little details to this shoot that I fell in love with, however it was the show stopper piece that I couldn't get out of my mind! In effort to create a unique & wondrous ceremony backdrop, the team at She Walks in Beauty crafted something that I would easily put into my home never mind dress my ceremony location! What I'm talking about is a mega gorgeous birchwood arbor filled with vintage volumes!

  4. Why It Works Wednesday: The True Beauty Of A Black & Gold Wedding Color Palette

Since my team is in the tank this year {I am a born and breed Pittsburgh gal} I need something to uplift my spirits about the tried & true ol'black and gold. Don't worry gals, I'm not about to go all sports on you, but I am about to sample a stellar color combination, black & gold, which is a combo posed to be utterly divine when it comes to weddings! In looking around for gorgeous black & gold inspiration, I found a wonderfully mysterious styled shoot over at The Wedding Chicks which more then perfectly fits the bill! The essence behind their particular design was that of dark romance, which it most certainly embodies, but for me, I was particularly captivated by the petite table for two.
