A misnomer that needs to be abolished, is that a country wedding can only be done one way. The beauty to today's utterly dreamy bohemian wedding is that it is all about elevating a country affair. Inspired by a romantic bohemian wedding with whimsical influences, a team of Pacific Northwest wedding pros set off to create a wedding of polish and sophistication. Dairyland serves as the perfect backdrop, a locale injecting just the right rustic flavor with the platform for elevated style. Utilizing a wide range of materials and textures, the team created experiences throughout the property with the keystone piece being an incredibly cool triangle backdrop. No bohemian wedding would be complete without a world of dripping greens, something From the Ground Up Floral delivered in spades from the asymetrical swag detailing in the ceremony decor to the gorgeous hand-tied bouquet. This styled shoot is a sweet love song to how a setting is just a setting, you can make it all be exactly what you want it to be.
As I write this post, the irony isnt lost on me. When Texas wedding photographer Angela King Photo sent this dreamy styled shoot my way some months ago, I pleaded to let me hold it back with the intention of featuring it right as spring was truly coming to life. Meanwhile, here in the northeast anyway, we're on our 5/6th snow in a month.... its April, people, April. So instead, I now share this with you tied up in wanderlust for a warmer, sweeter time, living vicariously through Angela's images. I'm a sucker for flowers, this a known fact, and easily one of the key pieces that drew me to this Texas wedding. A bevvy of blooms dance through each vignette, be it the drippy garland for portraits, the petite bridal floral crown, or the lush multiple piece tablescape. A floral roll call if you will of amaranthus, blue cornflower, peach stock, and succulents, form the garland of the beautiful site for a ceremony and couple’s portraits. The bride’s bouquet is a mix of jasmine vine, silver dollar and seeded eucalyptus, blue delphinium...
The heavens have inspired the people of the world for centuries. Whether its the twinkle in the sky, the beauty of the twilight colors or the mystique of another place so many worlds away, our heads swim with their euphoric enchantment. Its only fitting that such a thing would influence and inspire the wedding worlds as well. The idea of a celestial wedding brings a jewel tone palette, a dash of metallic detailing, and bevvy of geometric inspiration. When our friends at Love Inc saw David’s Bridal Ruffle Trim Faux Wrap Bridesmaid Dress collection, they knew a celestial wedding was the perfect way to showcase the figure loving bridesmaid dresses, no matter your style preference, shape, size or budget.
Inspired by William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, a team of local West Virginia wedding pros turned The Carriage House into a wonderfully romantic winter wedding. Working with rich textures like fur and velvet, a complimentary color palette of deep reds and blush pinks were selected to breathe life into their winter wedding. A stunning vintage soft pink tufted couch from The Mustard Couch created the most gorgeous portrait opportunity, perfect for canoodling. Wanting to taking a playful turn, an outdoor reception table was set, lined with rich greens dotted by organic detailing such as picturesque pomegranates. Really giving off the romantic storybook feel is combination of stone locale in the Carriage House plus our bride's stunning long sleeved full skirt Hayley Paige. Maybe its just me, but this is the kind of winter wedding everyone goes nuts about!
