When you truly know yourself, let that guide you. This little phrase is easily the hallmark to this vibrant Winter Park Florida wedding, filled with full strength hues and sweet little details! Harnessing their joint joy de vivre, Laura & Jason knew that above all else they wanted a day that not only was about them, but was about their guests just as much. Joining forces with Florida wedding pros like Anna Christine Events & Flowers By Lesley, the couple created a simple Florida wedding wonderland at Winter Park Farmers' Market. Guests were treated to delights such as not just one wedding cake, but a scrumptious spread of 5 all cooked up by the amazing Fig & Flour! Playing up Laura & Jason's zest for fun, the couple crafted a unique & playful photobooth with the help of Party Shots Orlando that easily kept the guests entertained all night long! The rest was up to Laura & Jason, a cache of stolen moments between the two, everyone gorgeously captured by Rudy & Marta Photography and delivered in the most perfect of moody ways!
Perhaps it's because I grew up in the steel city, surrounded by endless warehouse giants, or maybe it's because I've spent the last 16 years in the urban wiles of NYC... Whatever it is, I have a special place in my heart for gorgeous loft industrial weddings. There is just something about the cavernous yet wondrously airy blank slates that they offer. When coupled with just the right touch of imagination, these hidden locales can truly sing. Hoping to inject the same sense of industrial wedding wonder, a team of Ohio wedding pros headed to the event space at Rustbelt Coffee with the goal of transforming the event space into one of elegant design. Details like sleek black ghost chairs, custom-made marble calligraphy place cards, & wispy branch centerpieces standing tall against old school loft windows are just a few touches that dial up the elegance. To bring this beauty to life, Ohio wedding photographer Captured by Hannah Photography does an eloquent job of capturing each moment in all sorts of dark, moody, artful goodness. There is much to love here, I suspect you'll enjoy discovering each little hidden treasure!
Art school cool. It sounds like something you say when you're trying to be clever, however being an art school alumni myself, I can attest, art school cool is indeed a very real thing! Easily sliding in to the world of all things hipster, an art school hipster wedding is pretty much the stuff that modern millennial dreams are made. During last fall's New York Bridal Fashion Week, Aisle Society & Minted hosted a gala that played off the very idea of diversity in the world of weddings, head on. Showcasing inspiration from a beach wedding brought to life complete with sand and palm trees, to a rustic mountain wedding filled with log seating weighing in the 100's of pounds. One faction of the diversity was a uniquely cool art school hipster wedding that paid homage to the collection of boho fair that might typically dress a room. From walls lined with indie art dripping in greens by Sachi Rose Design, to re-purposed trophy's that spoke to achievement, details like vintage vinyl and metal tables breathed life into the whole hipster wedding. In the spirit of oneness meets technology, an unique guest experience was set up via the Wending Machines, which allowed guests to hand select the very items they received as wedding gifts a la vending machine. Each moment was captured in perfectly moody detail...
Today's feature from South Carolina florist and wedding designer Culpepper Designs is pretty much a checklist for what I am loving these days. Gorgeous white washed industrial locale, generous overflowing floral arrangements topped heavy with lush greens, a slightly boho feel, all done with a chic refined hand! Shoot on location by the artful eye of wedding photographer Anna Duncan Photography at Southern Bleachery, the team crafted a world of sophistication in an eco-chic palette of mixed greens, soft ivory with dashes of pink. A rustic wood table served as a focal point, set with a tablescape that drew on gold detailing in the form of candle sticks, trays and metal work pieces intermixed with high and low centerpieces, giving the table the perfect amount of drama. Gold chargers and flatware for each place setting perfectly played off the dreamy tablescape while handcrafted wood Mr & Mrs signs complimented the stately rustic wood table. Hair & Makeup Artist Cotton Rouge did a gorgeous job giving each girl a unique yet wonderfully cohesive look that played up the modern boho feel of the open back wedding dresses and gorgeous 2 piece wedding dress creation. The shoot overall is simply beyond, something I know I can't wait to pin every moment of and savor!
