The French Quarter in New Orleans is one of the more intriguing and picturesque locales in the US. A mash up of cultures, the architecture samples French, British, and Creole. Kim & Brian, having met in pharmacy school at Ole Miss, had their very first date in a museum and knew that when the day came, it was a museum that they wanted to make it official in. Enter The Cabildo Museum in New Orleans’ French Quarter high above Jackson Square, Kim & Brian said their vows surrounded by 100 guests as well as grand portraits of American historic figures! The vibe for the day was to capture a classic southern affair with a touch of vintage elements. White linens, blush colored peonies, & mercury glass filled the room while Kim herself dressed the part in a rosette covered gown which she complimented with pearl strands, a dash of sparkle & fresh gardenias in her hair. During the ceremony, Kim & Brian invoked a newer tradition, a water ceremony where water was brought from each of their parents’ homes, combined and blessed, to be used at the christening of their first child. Keeping up great traditions, at the end of the evening, in pure New Orleans style, Kim & Brian lead their guests out a la second line jazz band into a joyous sparkler sendoff to cap the evening!
