I have to admit, and please don’t yell at me, but I have never seen so much as one episode of Downtown Abbey!   I have no real reason for it, I simply haven’t, and perhaps it is wrong for me to say, but today’s wonderfully styled English garden wedding shoot from Anya Albonetti Photography is pulling some serious Downtown vibes for me!  Set in Indiana’s Laurel Hall, an old world of pomp & circumstance was created with beautiful mossy greens, traditional blush pink roses, crystals & lace.  Vintage pieces from accent tables to china abound pulling together this wonderful bygone era truly crafting a gorgeous vintage English garden wedding world.  In true British affair style, ladies don fascinators & the men polished top  hats, if nothing else, the biggest key to an English themed anything!  Dreamy & romantic, swoon away at all the little details as there are so many treats to take in!

A Note From  Anya Albonetti

My inspiration for my photoshoot came from a Hen Party (Bachelorette Party) that I photographed in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, United Kingdom. I loved the elegance that came with wearing hats/facinators to posh events (including weddings), so I designed a styled photoshoot around hats in order to highlight that class, sophistication, chicness, regality, and style. I picked gold and blush as the main colors because I LOVE how golds, blushes, flowers, and crystals marry together extremely well and are very glamorous! Each and every one of the vendors who participated in this Glamorous English Garden Wedding Styled Shoot were amazing to work with and helped me bring my vision to life. In the end, it was far more than I ever imagined!
The styled shoot was held at Laurel Hall—one of Indianapolis’s best hidden gems in the wedding industry. This gorgeous mansion has several ceremony options (inside and outside) and a beautiful reception area that are perfect for any glamorous wedding! The rooms were staged with the astounding rental pieces from Violet Vintage. She brought the elegant and chic white couch with gold trim, the gold and blush high-back chair, the vintage tea sets, the black typewriter, the rustic trunks, the old books, the elegant dress form, the gold inkwell, the oil lamp, the embellished mirror, and many other little pieces. The rooms were then filled with a bounty of lush flowers. Bella’s Blooms provided stunning, tall urns, lavish pots, and smaller pieces that were overflowing with pink gladiolas, bells of Ireland, ferns, pink roses, hydrangeas, succulents, mums, berries, ranunculus, and peonies. They provided an abundance of flowers for the table décor, accent pieces, and showstoppers. Bella’s Blooms provided four bridal bouquets, two bridesmaid’s bouquets, two boutonnieres, and a crystal candelabra that was topped with a mountain a flowers. Lastly, the miracle workers at Bella’s Blooms created a moss chair!! It was SUPER imaginative and extremely elegant.
The tables were decked out with the glamorous fabrics from Linen Hero. The main dining table was fitted with the beige rose linen, and the cake table was styled with the pink dingle balls. The dining table was styled with vintage mismatched teacups, mismatched china, gold silverware, a moss-covered typewriter, crystal candles, an oil lamp, vintage handkerchiefs, and stacks of books (all provided by Violet Vintage). Additionally, each place setting had a uniquely designed letterpress menu provided by Jupiter and Juno. The fabulous people at Jupiter and Juno also provided two sets of amazing letterpress invitations, thank you letters, table numbers, reply cards, and classy sayings that were on display on the table. One was a gold typeface on white stock and the other was a soft pink on white card stock. Jama with Cake Zen provided the opulent cake and sugar bouquet. She decked out the simply elegant cake with golds, pinks, and perfect sugar flowers. The fragile, pink sugar bouquet had sugar feathers, flowers, and was wrapped with a soft satin ribbon.
The four female models (Christina Trueblood, Jenn King, Rachel Bougher, and Carolyne Holcomb) were dressed in seven breathtaking dresses provided by Valerie with Blue House Bridal. Four of the dresses were designed by Enaura, two were Pronovias, and the other was a soft, blush bridesmaid’s dress. Valerie also provided four veils (from lace-lined cathedral length to crystal-studded elbow-length), two crystal-studded belts, and a sheer, crystal-studded bolero. The silver/blue bridesmaid’s dress was provided by the model, Carolyne Holcomb from her private collection. The girls’ makeup was applied by Jacey Griggs with A Do Hair Design. Jacey created eight beautiful different looks from soft to bold while still looking very elegant and natural. The girls’ hair was styled by Tiffany Dyan. She showed her immense skill by creating eight very unique styles that matched the uniqueness of the eight dresses. Jewel Box Jewelers provided some incredible necklaces and rings to deck out the necks and hands of the four models. The bling was so intense and the pieces were so magnificent, you could see them from across the room! The girls wore exquisite shoes from Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, and several from a private collection. To add to the elegance, some of the girls wore bespoke hats/headbands/fascinators provided by EMilliner Bridal and Hats from the Hall.
The two gentlemen (Andrew Habbe and Brandon Catt) were provided tuxes from DC Designers Tux Shop. One of the gentlemen wore a traditional English cut-away grey tux, Victorian pinstriped pants, striped cravat, diamond-studded gold button cover, top hat, patent shoes, and cane. The other gentleman wore a high-waisted black tux with a white vest, black studs, white tow tie, black patent shoes, top hat, cane and pocket watch.
The last component of the styled shoot that took everything up a notch was the red-hot 458 Italia Ferrari generously provided by the Ferrari Club of America. The perfectly clean, decked-out exotic car really made a statement!
Working behind the scenes were the magnificent Megan Sullivan, Karen Bougher, and Nina Hershberger. They helped out in a big way with set up, tear down, and doing just about anything that needed to be done. Additionally, the amazing Giovanna Mandel took the behind the scenes video of the day.
