With a fresh and enlighten view on the wedding day, Adela & Teodor Negrea married in a locale uniquely special to them both. For their offbeat wedding with a truly laid back party feel, the couple knew without question that the grounds of Banffy Castle was the perfect spot, as it is also the home to the Electric Castle Festival, a musical festival directed by the groom himself! Channeling their funky & free spirited personalities, the couple used the refined venue as a spring board for the delightfully eclectic day featuring touches like a raised balloon garden, a light strand embraced tented reception and a dance floor under the stars! While the wedding world is a wash these days in a sea of lace & fluff, I adore just a bit more couples who buck the traditional ways and truly get down with their eclectic side!

We met and fell in love 5 years ago. I work in advertising and he works in the music and entertainment field. We wished for a laid back wedding, “a big party” for close people that we love and wanted to have close to us. The castle was our first and single choice and everything just fell into place after that. The Banffy Castle is “home” to Electric Castle Festival, a music festival directed by Teodor, the groom. It was obvious that our wedding will be held here as this castle brought us the most happiest moments in our lives. He is the artist director of the festival and I gave it its name 3 years ago. The theme, décor and program was all made up by us.
Favorite Moments ~ Our favorite moment was the wedding itself. We loved every moment of it and we are so thankful that everything came out just as we planned and wished for. The wedding started at 3 pm and ended the next morning at 5 am. Everyone said it was the best wedding ever!
