I actually have a really deep love for Washington DC.  The hubs and I head there once a year to attend a charity event and each year we discover some new piece of DC to fall in love with.  The most recent object of my affection is Georgetown and oh how I looooove Georgetown!  Seriously, I would move there in a heart beat not even playing around with that!  There is an old world sense of mystic, history, sophistication and class from the architecture to the flow of the city itself that simply captivates you at each new turn.  Rachel Purdy & Ben Heilman felt the DC magic too, opting for a gorgeous luxury black tie affair in the heart of everything.  Starting with a simple petite church ceremony at the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Georgetown, the real party then kicked up into gear at the gorgeous ballroom within The Willard InterContinental Hotel all dressed in cream and shine.  Bridesmaids wore lovely dresses from J.Crew in eggplant while our bride was a stunning vision dressed in a classic silhouette with just the right touch of sparkle.  Rachel & Ben took the time to head to some truly iconic and gorgeous spaces around DC for their portraits and they dont disappoint, like dancing in the street with the Capitol Building in the background for example.  This beautiful wedding is a perfect example of how wonderfully elegant, perfectly luxury and gorgeous a black tie fete DC style can be!
