Style, sophistication, and class is the name of the game when it comes to this lovely modern come vintage Austin, Texas wedding!  Sarah DeLaCruz & Matthew Lucero opted to invite their closet friends and family into their new life in Austin celebrating under the clear starry tent at The Allan House .  Lace dresses lead the way in the form of a gorgeous perfectly fitted Augusta Jones wedding gown and complimentary baby pink lace cocktail dresses from BCBG Generation.  Girls after my own heart, Sarah & her ladies did not short change in the shoe department, Sarah wearing some gorgeous sparklers while the ladies wore some killer turquoise pumps!  Sarah’s hair was to die for, fashioned in a side braid which ultimately came together in a lovely loose textured structured do while the girls rocked a mix of braids and tumbling locks!  Not to be out done, the  men wore ever handsome steely gray tuxes from Vera Wang  & matched the ladies awesomeness in the shoe department in the form of Toms!  Sarah along with some help from friends, worked to hand craft each detail from the centerpieces to signage to bring a personal & vintage feel, my personal favorite being the amazing seating chart drawn by hand by her Aunt Paula!  I anticipate tons of pining from this gorgeous wedding, from the bridal style, the suave look of the bridal party to the details!  What a gorgeous Austin Texas dream wedding!

Novella of the Bride…

We met in grad school in November 2008 (Fort Lauderdale, FL). Matt was in Dental school and I was in Physician Assistant school. In 2010 we moved to San Antonio, TX for Matt’s residency. One year later we moved to Austin, TX and found our current jobs. Matt works in public health and I work in the Emergency Room. April 2012 we took a trip to Napa and San Fransisco. Matt proposed to me at the top of Point Bonita. It was magical… Matt’s originally from Reno, NV and I am from Orlando, Fl. We are so in love with Austin, TX that we decided to have our friends and family come to us and “meet in the middle” 🙂

We wanted our wedding to be very intimate and personal. We only invited about 120 people and about 95 people attended.  We chose The Allan House because it was the perfect venue for our theme. Great location (downtown Austin) and very easy to work with!  Our theme was Austin vintage. I made the centerpieces out of peanut butter jars and wine bottles. We used coasters that had famous Austin locations on them (purchased from South Austin Gallery) and our seating chart chalk board was hand drawn by my Aunt (Paula Pell). My Aunt also drew the sign that the ring bearer (our nephew Isaiah) held walking down the aisle. It said “Uncle Matt.. Here comes your bride”. We also had pedicabs pick us and our wedding party up for the “send off” to take us to the Rattle Inn on West 6th st to continue the party.

Our officiant (Gary Lambert) is a very dear close friend of my family. He was my sister’s former boss. We love him so much and were so lucky he could come out to marry us!  Gary Lambert along with Shawn Hunt from Gary Lambert’s Salon in Winter Park, FL and my Sister Emily Blackmon did the bridesmaids hair!!!

Bride’s Favorite Moment: “My favorite moment was when we exchanged our personally written vows to each other. It was a moment I will never forget… I was so touched by Matt’s vows that I leaned in to kiss him when he was done and Gary had to stop me mid-lean since we were not “officially” allowed to kiss yet :)”
