For a more intimate twist on the traditional Bridal Week showing, Monique Lhuillier invited us into the Grand Salon at the Baccart Hotel for a presentation in which Monique herself walked us through each wedding dress in her Spring Summer 2016 Collection.   This was a notable treat as it gave us a unique insight into her thought process & inspiration around each dress, with the collection as a whole drawing inspiration from ‘Alice In Wonderland’.  In an Eat Me, Drink Me type fashion, Monique Lhuillier wedding dresses ran with two discernible styles aesthetics for the collection, beautifully body hugging sheath silhouettes or  those that play more toward grandeur with their voluminous ways.   The most notable design element for the Spring Summer 2016 collection were the back lines which were pushed far lower then before, offering up the backs of each bride as a focal point of beauty all their own.  Two of my favorite Monique Lhuillier wedding dresses from the collection are both a mix of embroidery & floral lace applique, each with utterly outstanding backs that drip in feminine goodness, a trumpet gown with a high boat neck line, the other a simple seeming sheath with a removable tulle skirt detail that reveals the most delicious mix of sheer & floral open backs yet.  Judging by the immediate responses that I was getting from the collection on Instagram, you guys are feeling these just as much as I am!
