When we think of weddings, we often go directly to details, decor & flowers, one lovely mix of visual expression.  As bloggers, we tend to seek out weddings that feature the most details because they tend to tell the story more completely.  What I love about Amanda Martin & Paul Herrick’s Monte Rio meadow ceremony from wedding photographer Robin Jolin Photography is how the story is told through emotions, some pretty darn happy feet spunky emotions if you will!  Dont get me wrong, there are some amazing gorgeous floral arrangements going on, with sweet little details, but this wedding is all about the festive atmosphere!  From attendants whose job it was to ‘Warm Up The Crowd’ to dancing down the aisle, this wedding is pure sunshine!

Wedding Buzzwords ~ Happy – Party – Love – Whimsical – FESTIVE
Specialty Cocktails ~ Manattan

Paul was the neighbor of Sharon and Aren, my best friends.  He was doing his residency at Oakland Kaiser and I had just moved to the bay area to start my job.  We wanted something relaxing, easy and fun. The city on Monte Rio had all of that! Relaxed, rustic, redwoods, river (lots of R’s)  We had 3 guys with walkie talkies and they were our “Vibe Control” . Their only job was to get our guest laughing and excited for our entrace. We had a wheel barrol of beers they passed at our at the ceremony. When we drove into the meadow the crowd was hooting & hollaring and we just ran out as they cheered us on. This was after our drive to the cermony site in our Westfia Van, it was covered in flowers so the door didn’t shut. We got out 2 times at stop signs just to run aroud the car. Paul had to hold the back of our photographers shirt so she wont fall out!

Favorite Moment ~ Driving in the Cermeony on the Westfia and pulling up to everyone cheering us on!
