Parting Words from Heather & William ~

Most people don’t remember the first time that they saw their future spouse, but Will does. It was a Sunday evening in April of 2010 and he was meeting up with friends to celebrate birthday party at a Sushi Bar.  Since Will was the first to arrive (a very rare occurrence) and didn’t eat all day (a even rarer occurrence) , he grabbed some food at the bar. While enjoying his dinner, he saw a group of girls walk in and one girl drew his attention immediately.  After finishing his meal, Will met up with his friends at the group table. He was instantly surprised and happy to see “The Girl” at the table. Will spent the next half hour talking to everyone at the table, but he was most interested in the “The Girl”. Just when thought that he had struck gold, “The Girl” left after a few minutes of chatting. The Gods must have been smiling down on him because he was able to met up with “The Girl” a week later at a different birthday party. While at the birthday party, Will and Heather were able to get to know a little more about each other. At the end of the night Heather eagerly took Will’s phone to obtain his Black Berry IM number. Heather and Will spent most of the remaining weekend sending each other instant messages and Will finally obtained Heather’s phone number. That night, Will called Heather and asked her out on a date.  After dating for a few years, Will decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level (along with some not-so subtle hints from Heather). Will decided that the element of surprise was extremely important when it came to his wedding proposal. He made up his mind that he would make that special day seem like any other normal day. He was successful in his plan and even got unsolicited help from Heather. Will, let Heather take the lead in planning that week’s date night. Heather made the plans and decide that she wanted to go to dinner, explore some of the places in a local neighborhood, and…… As the night drew to a close and their date night was ending, Will suggested that they head home and watch a few episodes of “The Voice”. Upon arriving home, Will suggested that Heather go upstairs to take off her make-up and change into her pajamas. With Heather upstairs, Will quickly gathered his proposal ingredients that he stashed earlier that day. Will decorated the living room with candles, rose petals, and champagne. Before heading upstairs, Will arranged chocolate strawberries in the shape of a heart and put the ring box in the middle of the heart and turned off all the lights. Upstairs, Will changed into his pajamas and got Heather to bring her downstairs. Halfway down the stairs, he took Heather by the hand and turned off the remaining hallway lights. As they reached the bottom of the stairs, Will guided Heather to the center table. Heather saw the candles, but was unaware of the other decorations because the room was dimly lit. At the center table, Will got on one knee and opened the ring box (equipped with it’s own light). When Will opened the ring box, the entire room was illuminated and Heather quickly saw the ring. Due to shock to Heather, she missed most of what Will said to her as he got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage….. So he repeated himself and she said YES!!!!!!! Mission accomplished.
