When music owns your soul there is precious little you can do but own the hell out of it back!  When it came time for Jennifer Gould & Brian Falcone to plan their perfect wedding day, they knew a retro inspired musical wedding was their exact fingerprint!  Elements of music started from the top, with record table numbers hand made by Jennifer herself.  To capture the true rockabilly spirit, the couple went retro inspired for their attire from a tea length wedding dress to the groomsmen’s old school styled gray suits, even hair was styled in gorgeous back when dos!  A palette of deep navy & bold yellow was the perfect end quote to the lively affair, filled with jazz music, late night dancing and a midnight snack of hot dogs and ice cream!  Philadelphia wedding photographers B & G Productions Photography and Videography sweetly captured each special moment, with their gorgeous artistic flair, a match made in heaven for this sweet little rockabilly retro inspired musical wedding!

Novella of the Bride…

Wedding Buzzwords ~ Traditional, Offbeat, Fun Fun Fun, Slightly Vintage, Kinda Hipster, & Loving
Specialty Cocktail ~ Pabst Blue Ribbon Cans & Crown Royal

We met through mutual friends, even though we lived really close to each other growing up, we never knew each other until we were in our early 20’s.  After years of being best friends we started dating and moved in together within a year, we just knew it was a perfect match. We have two cats named Frankenstein and Professor Charles Worthington.  Both of us love love love music! Listening to it, seeing it live and playing it! All types of music.  Brian plays upright bass, regular bass and guitar & I play piano, and ukulele, though only for a few years.  Living so close together growing up we realized when we became friends that we already knew most of the same people and had a lot of the same friends. We love being around our friends and families & were already comfortable farting in front of each other within a couple months (now that’s love!) hehehe

We just wanted the wedding to be very us. I feel like a wedding is for the bride and groom but the reception is for the friends and family. So we just wanted it to be a super fun time for everyone. The ceremony was about 10 mins, and then it was party time.  Since we love music so much, our cocktail hour music was a jazz band The Gin Canaries, really amazing music and really awesome people. I made all of the flowers for the bridesmaids because I wanted them to be able to have them as long as they wanted, and I also wanted to put alot of work in them to show how much they mean to us.  Also I wanted all the girls to get whatever dress they wanted because they all have wonderful  and different personalities and are all beauties and deserve to wear what make them happy and comfortable . The guys wore grey suits and navy ties except for the groom who wore a yellow tie, and they all wore black Converse All Stars, while the girls wore yellow heels of their choice.  Lastly we hand made all of our groomsman and bridesmaids gifts specifically for each person. We had records as table numbers that I painted in our colors and our cake topper were robots, because…well…robots are awesome. We asked the venue to get Pabst Blue Ribbon and Crown Royal because well thats what we like (we have very refined pallets lol) as well as a photobooth because they are just rad and a hot dog/ice cream/pretzel cart for after because who doesnt leave a reception hungry and looking for a Wawa!

A Little Help From Their Friends ~ Everyone was amazing!  My sister, mom, new sister in law and best friend were unbelievible! My best friend Celia helped me get my ass in gear and we became each others gym partners.  She  and my fabulous sister Brittany helped me run so many errands and were always there to talk about wedding junk, talk through annoying stuff and def the fun stuff and were always willing to be dragged out for a celebratory cocktail. My mom Babe and sister in law Jill were unreal!  They organized everything, kept everyone on the same page w/who had a dress and or shoes, even had a whole secret Facebook chat page between the bridesmaids, booked hotels, organized parties (shower and bachelorette) and the best man Don also planned the whole bachelor party and it was unbelievable!

Favorite Moments ~ The first look, and I swear that’s what my now husband said when I just asked him.  He said “the first look because it was just me and you and that’s all I cared about” and I agree , marrying my best friend was pretty amazeballs too. However my 2nd favorite was my sister’s maid of honor speech, seriously she KILLED IT!  3rd favorite were all the dance offs!
