Gorgeous glamour can come in places that we’d often least expect, and as such, it is perhaps that much more amazing when it does!  Marta Abrams & Bryan Miller’s stunning rustic Marble Falls, Texas wedding is a dreamy example of what a touch of sophistication and elevated design can do to transport one world into a completely ethereal dream world!  Both Texas kids, both harboring a deep love for their childhood camp experiences, they knew that a destination wedding back to Texas was exactly what they wanted.  Landing on the Balcones Retreat, a 250 acre retreat which is tucked among the rolling hills and lazy lakes of Marble Falls, they knew that they had found the spot!   Guests were able to engross themselves into the full camp spirit all the while playfully elevated by mature & wonderfully romantic elements like grape wood center pieces, wild flower arrangements, and a stunning raw wood chuppah dripping in bright fuchsia blooms.  Marta & Bryan’s great style didn’t stop at the decor, both wearing designer attire in the form of Ralph Lauren Black Label and Marta in a custom designed gown from London fashion school friend, Christan Siriano.  I love how very much this brilliant couple embraced their country childhood all the while mixing in their modern day love for all things high fashion and chic!  Almost everything had just a touch of glitter, Marta’s signature, and the result is a breathtaking country chic wedding that is a lovely blend of rustic, romantic, high design & whimsy!

Novella of the Bride…

Wedding Buzzwords: Elegant Summer Camp, Destination, Texan, Rustic, Wild flowers, Action-packed
Specialty Cocktails: Caipirinhas from the groom’s trip to Brazil. Peppermint schnapps at the s’mores bonfire.

The groom works in Private Equity while the bride owns a childrens’ clothing factory.  The couple met at the groom’s aunt’s house in Houston where his cousin and bride’s brother were celebrating their high school graduation.  The groom had gone to Houston to keep his grandfather company just after his grandmother had passed away.  The bride already lived in LA and they groom was preparing to move there.  The couple has made a home together in Santa Monica and is now expecting baby #1!!!!

Elegant summer camp.  The bride & groom were both born in Texas and both loved summer camp. They wanted a destination where their guests could all stay together and party until 6am, which is what happened!  Everyone {friends & family} helped, even carrying home huge bundles of grape wood on Southwest airlines after every trip to LA.  Special touches included a multi-flavored s’mores bar by a roaring bonfire while a live band played into the night, a horse for the  married couple to ride off on, cabins for  most of the guests to stay in, a Thanksgiving-inspired rehearsal dinner to commemorate the couple’s families meeting on Thanksgiving and spending every one of them together since, as well as the groom’s proposing to the bride on Thanksgiving at the same aunt’s house where they first met.  After his speech, the groom serenaded the bride with George Straight’s “I Cross My Heart.”  He had been  taking secret voice lessons.  The couple also performed a choreographed first dance to Natasha Beddingfield’s   “These Words.”

Bride’s Favorite Moment: ” The parties after the parties, where the bride’s musician friends would play their instruments until late into the night.  The multi-flavored marshmallow s’mores bar, the Saturday afternoon bar‐b‐que, and watching all the guests have a great time.  But nothing was better than saying “I Do” to my best friend.”
