I should apologize for the sheer landslide of photos but I can’t. I won’t. It is practically everything when a designer ‘Gets It’ and I am not even talking about just the fashion end of things. We already knew Sareh Nouri gets it from her repeat collection after collection of romantic wedding dresses that has left more then a gal or two breathless. I had an inkling of just how much Sareh Nouri gets it from previous editorial lookbooks showcasing past collections… but its THIS editorial that cements it, Sareh Nouri is the author of wedding dreams, full stop. Whether we realize it or not, the wedding dress simply isnt an article of clothing, but the piece that sets the tempo. It is the very piece to the wedding puzzle that unapologetically declares what this wedding will be. Bohemian and free spirited, formal & glam, or perhaps a romantic celebration of feminine beauty. I realize now just how much Sareh Nouri gets the big picture, the beauty to crafting the whole vision. When I took the collection in in person during fashion week I was struck by how well Sareh knows the romance game. There are a few dresses that truly stand out in the collection for me, the sleek fitting cream gown with the stunner back bow, the midnight blue ruffle dream that simply floats on air and the open back perfection that is her lace trumpet wedding dress. While each dress in the collection exemplifies the signature Nouri style we’ve come to count on, these 3 are archetypes of their very own. While other designers are busy adding more sparkle, throwing on more chiffon and piling up the tulle, Sareh not so quietly plays to her strengths, crafting gowns that embody all the romance in the world.
