In my early childhood years I had the unique privilege of spending a few years on a petite Caribbean island called Montserrat. One of the incredibly cool features to the islands were rich black sand beaches. Ever since then I have always had a sweet spot for these silky smooth oddities! When an Oregon elopement hit my inbox from wedding photographer Blush Creative Photography set on darker sand beaches, I knew I was hooked. The Oregon coastline is a thing of goddess like beauty and the locale of this styled shoot only served to hence the elegant moody affair. A simple sweetheart table with details like seaglass pieces and draped fabric picked up on the natural surroundings. Injecting a touch of color into the neutral surroundings, cool greens, baby blues & pale pinks accented the Oregon elopement. The last piece to the puzzle was a dove grey gown from Joanna August that joyfully danced in the wind. This vision of an Oregon elopement is simple perfection, as an elopement doesn’t have to mean something light on style just because there are not a hoard of guests to see it.
