First & foremost I want to thank Jessica Drew & Barron Cline for being so incredibly sweet and accommodating!  This completely adorable couple not only was excited to do the blind feature, they answered the questions, I kid you not, on the night BEFORE their wedding day!  I had no idea at the on set and was floored when I heard!  So now lets get into it shall we!?  Barron set the tone for the next chapter of their life together, proposing while in disguise as the school mascot during a prep assembly at the school where Jessica is a teacher.  There is a video of it { Click Here } and I cant get enough of the reactions of the kids, how cute right!?  These two teamed up with Leah Moss Photography and headed to a local carnival for a super gorgeous summer engagement session with wonderful fair flavor and a strong Notebook vibe.  The resulting photos are pure eye candy and Jessica & Barron’s chemistry is off the charts!

In no more then 5 sentences, tell us how you & Barron/Jessica met and feel in love!

Jessica: “Barron and I met in high school and we became close friends right away. He would always find strange ways to make me laugh and I knew that he was someone really special. After a couple of years the timing was right for us and we started dating, I couldn’t be happier to be marrying my best friend!”

Barron: “Jessie and I met in high school and instantly became best friends. I think we would be both say now, that we knew we would never stay just best friends. As we grew closer, I quickly realized she was nothing short of perfect. Her natural beauty, sense of humor, and her overall kindness made it impossible for me to be without her. I can genuinely say, I met my soul mate and fell in love with my best friend.”

Barron’s proposal is up there in the creative charts, at any point during the assembly did you have a clue what was about to happen?

Jessica: “I had absolutely no idea!! When romantic music started playing I thought it was kind of an odd choice for a school assembly, but I was completely clueless until I pulled his bear mask off!”

We’re loving the slight retro style, what was your process behind getting your ensembles together?

Jessica: “We thought a fun photo session would be cute and different! Our families say it reminds them of the movie “The Notebook,” I found the vintage style dress online and Barron borrowed the hat!”

Who said ‘I Love You’ first and how did the other respond?

Barron: “I said I love you first, and I believe her response was something along the lines of, “are you sure? It’s kind of soon”. Haha, I did love her though.”

Jessica: “Barron said ‘I love you’ first, I remember he caught me by surprise because it wasn’t too long after we had started dating!”

If you & Jessica could take off for a year & travel, what would be in the itinerary and why?

Barron: “We’d go somewhere warm and tropical, have no plans when we’re there, and love it. That’s what great about being with her, we don’t have to be doing anything and we love it because we’re together. The warm weather wouldn’t hurt though ;)”

It seems you & Barron had at a few games at the carnival, did you show Barron who the real winner is?!

Jessica: “Haha, I won a prize or two! He was really sweet and gave one of our prizes to a little girl at the carnival who hadn’t won anything yet.”

What was the point when you realized that Jessica was the one that you wanted to spend forever with?

Barron: “When I missed her every time that we were apart.”

Jessica: “Honestly I kind of always knew…I can’t describe it any better than that!”

What is a dream day with Barron like?  Take us through it from sunrise to sunset.

Jessica: “We would have to start off with our morning coffee from Tim Hortons (we’re obsessed), and then we would head out to the lake for some stand up paddle boarding! After a day relaxing on the lake we’d go out for a nice dinner overlooking the water and end the night cuddled up by a bonfire.”

We hear that your master proposal plan was pretty crafty!  Give us the proposal run down that end up making the local news!

Barron: “Jessie had recently gotten her dream job as an art teacher at a local elementary school. She would tell me about the school assemblies that took place each Friday morning that would go over anti-bullying and recognize outstanding students for the week. At these assemblies, a different teacher each week would don the school mascot costume (a bear) and another teacher would host the assembly. Jessie would tell me how the kids would always try to guess which teacher was in the costume that week. Upon hearing this, and actually having had planned another proposal, I contacted the principal and other staff at the school to ask if they would be on board with me wearing the costume to propose to Jessie and they loved it. They worked it to where Jessie would host the assembly, I would be in the bear costume (Jessie’s nickname for me is Bear, by the way), and as a surprise to the kids that always guess to see who is in the costume, Jessie would unveil me to the crowd. I got down on one knee, to make it easier for her to reach the giant bear head of course, had Bill Joel’s She’s Got A Way playing in the background, and as she unveiled me, the rest is history!”

Be truthful, did you walk out of there with a giant stuff teddy bear for Jessica or just a lil guy…  you know, maybe next time you’ll get’em! 😉

Barron: “To be perfectly honest, I won her the biggest stuffed animal you’ve ever seen. I’m very skilled at carnival games, my favorite pastime. If you want to see proof, I can’t really provide, because Jessie and I gave the stuffed animal to a little girl who hadn’t won anything yet. That story sounds so good doesn’t it?!?! Okay, truthfully I won Jessie a tiny guy and a medium guy, she has the tiny one, and we gave away the medium one. I’m not very good at carnival games and am pretty sure I got them out of pity.”

The carnival looks like a lot of fun!  Is this a local fair or something that just nipped in town for a bit?

Barron: “I believe it’s an annual fair that this tiny cute town has setup for a few days. Definitely was a good time!”

What was the overall idea/theme for the session?

Jessica: “We were going for a vintage style session, we thought the carnival would be the perfect backdrop!”

If there is one thing you could say to Barron/Jessica right now, what would it be?

Jessica: “Well, our wedding is tomorrow and we are spending the night apart for the first time in a while so I’d probably say “I miss you!”

Barron: “One thing I could say to Jessie right now would be, “I can’t wait for what comes next”.
