Vintage weddings currently are, and always will be…in trend.  We love our past, we love the amazing design cues that have resulted from eras past and as such create homes, parties, you name, all modeled off these amazing times.   Some folks go retro, some go Gatsby, others love a more cottage vintage style like that of shabby chic.  To say shabby chic is purely cottage decor isn’t quite accurate.  Touches of floral, soft light romantic feel, an opulence in air, these are all elements that factor into Shabby Chic, which has no true genuine period decor.  This lovely styled session from Stefania Bowler Photography began with her own mother’s wedding china {I adore this!} and grew into a lovely backyard DIY shabby chic wedding with touches of twine, lace, petite floral patterns & wildflower like touches.  Natural wood cahirs {ones that could easily fit into the sweetest of cottages} are the strength of the decor, while giant tissue poms float like clouds overhead. Our two brides are fashioned in two unique looks, one dressed in a full lace wedding gown & birdcage veil while the other emphasizes a more on the chic modern look in a sleek lace fitted number.  Shabby chic {in decor and/or bridal style}  is a terrific take on a vintage affair, one that brings a true warmth and outer glow!
