Storyboard Wedding Why It Works Wednesday

I have a pretty major female hard on these days for floral crowns.  Floral crowns have a real regal feel to them without hitting you over the head with a royal crown.  Naturally due to their floral nature, they have an easy breezy wonderful free spirited more hippie like feel to them right out of the gate as well.  No matter how you slice it adding a floral crown is a gorgeous choice, lending itself to more fashion forward bridal looks.  Today’s Why It Works isnt so much a WHY it works but a gorgeous collections of floral crowns that all work for wonderfully unique reasons.  Floral crowns come in an infinite number of sizes, shapes and designs all thanks to the endless combination of flowers & hues available allowing creativity to be limited only by one’s imagination!

Not all floral crowns need to be played with the volume turned all the way up.  Perhaps the larger, more full floral crowns arent really your thing and thats ok too!  There are some pretty gorgeous options out there that are soft, sweet & delicate in all the right places.  Whether you want to work with mostly greens and a powerful accent bloom or two, or perhaps you favor a row of petite blossoms, there are ways to strike the perfect balance to achieve the divinity in the form of the understated floral crown.

The worker bee of the floral crowns, these gorgeous mid-sized sedans are nothing short of juuuuuust riiiight.  Toying with more generous bloom sizes, along with heavier amounts of filler, these arent your easily missed accent pieces.  Wearing a floral crown of this type & size shows your truly committed to your floral crown look and it is a key player in the look your trying to convey.  These beauties allow for more full size blooms to be a true star even allowing elements that are typically understated to shine as a larger group together.  The mid-size crown, she is a keeper!

Whether it is the addition of accent pieces or simply a cup runneth over feel, these fashion forward options came to play!  As I mentioned to start off the post, creativity in floral crowns knows no bounds and is only limited to where your mind will take you.  Adding unique elements like pheasant feathers or something more bold like grapevine sprigs, there are plenty of super fun ways to capture that amazing couture like look.  On the other side of things there is the go big or go home floral crown that isnt afraid of a few extra flowers.  Generous and overflowing, these giant beauties take blooms by the handful, skillfully crafting them into the most amazing of floral halos.

I must say today’s post has only served to heighten my love of these gorgeous floral crowns.  While there is a certain place in my heart for the understated & petite, I personally side with the more fashion forward of styles.  If your going to put something on your head that doesnt typically go there, you might as well GO.THERE. if you know what I mean!  Full bloom crowns or thin crowns with a big bloom pop, no matter what there are some beyond amazing ways to work the floral crown!
