This wedding is a DREAM. First off, location. Leslie and Shawn live in Nashville, TN but decided to elope in Big Sur, CA. Without ever seeing the venue in person, they booked Loma Vista Gardens. According to the bride, Leslie “ We wanted to elope because neither of us wanted to have all this attention on us but our families were super bummed so we agreed to have a tiny 21 person wedding in Big Sur! Our day was a dream. From beginning to end of the planning process we were so happy to have the vendors and help we had!”
There was definitely a boho feel to the entire day and the decor really complimented and emphasized the natural greenery of the gardens. Leslie also states, “I wanted everything neutral colors and just have the flowers and the landscape around us as the pops of color. Everything the day of was absolutely like reading my mind which was incredible considering the whole wedding was planned from Nashville, TN.”
How did you meet?
Shawn and I are a bumble success story! We first started chatting on the app and then met in person at a little bar by our house. He’s an introvert and I’m definitely a social butterfly so basically, the night consisted of me running my mouth and this or that and him staring at me with his blue eyes just taking it all in. I definitely couldn’t read him so I had no clue if he was entertained and loving it or wanted to run but fast forward a year later and we moved in together.
What is your proposal story?
He proposed to me at virgin falls here in Tennessee on a hike. We were trying to snap some cool pictures of us with our dogs to frame one for our families for Christmas. We had the camera set up on a rock and had a self timer going. We snapped a few and he said maybe one more. I thought that was weird considering he hates photos sooooo that’s what’s happened and he asked me as the camera captured him doing it! So amazing we have that!

What were your favorite parts of the day?
My favorite memories of the day was the first look with Shawn! He was so excited and it was just adorable. I also was so happy the 21 people who were the closest to us loved us enough to travel all the way across the country. It was so great to get all of our families together and show everyone Big Sur. I loved it there and so did everyone else. Ugh it was all a dream!
