When something dark and dreamy comes my way I always get a little more excited. Weddings are always thought of as white, bright, and full tilt classic storybook. The problem is that that particular mindset only truly appeals to a selection of bride, not everyone. I am delighted to be able to share a bridal session that features wonderfully moody bridal style that is inspired by a fairy tale with a bit of edge photographed by Magdalene Photography. This beauty is shoot on location at the secret garden like oasis of Flora Flowershop in Door County, Wisconsin. Featuring a voluminous Mori Lee wedding dress from I Do Bridal of sparkling tulle, our bride begins her journey in a gathered cathedral veil crafted to create a hair fascinator like effect. As the shoot progresses, our bride trades in her more formal veil for a wild and free organic floral crown. Her loose flowing locks and darker makeup by A&A Artistry, pick up on the more sultry dramatic cues, giving us relief from the more storied white weddings we see so often. This moody bridal session is a delight, something I know will appeal to all brides looking for an alternative to the standard weddings we see each day.
