We are in blue bliss from the natural and organic feel of this state park e-session in Ohio. Megan and Dan got engaged at Caesar Creek State Park so of course, they had to recreate the romance of that moment. Using Cate Ann Photo + Film behind the lens, the duo snapped some ethereal shots amongst the tall trees, picturesque waterscapes, and the wheat field. Megan swayed around in a powdery French blue maxi dress from Hedges and Wolf and casual denim jacket, while Dan donned a charcoal gray vest and matching pageboy hat. From the day to their outfits to their pairing, this entire engagement session is simply perfect.

How did you meet?

Dan was a friend of my sister’s for years before we met and I had always heard that we would be great together from my sister. We met at work after my sister got me an internship at their office. We went on a few lunch dates and the rest is history!

What is your proposal story?

I had a feeling that Dan was planning to propose, but definitely wasn’t sure when it was going to happen. We had a day to ourselves, so he said “let’s just do something fun today”. So, we decided to get brunch in Waynesville, OH and take a hike at Caesar’s Creek State Park. He took me to this little stone building in the side of a hill and we sat down and talked for a little while. He unexpectedly proposed here, which is also where we had our engagement photos taken.

Tell us about the ring/band.

My engagement ring is white gold with a halo marquis diamond in the middle. On each side of the marquis, there are three diamonds that reduce in size as they go around the band.

Tell us about your engagement shoot outfits and accessories.

During our engagement shoot, we really wanted to be more casual. I wore a blue maxi dress with a jean jacket. Dan wore gray pants with a button up shirt and a gray vest over it.
