Film photography, in the right hands, is something that can evoke the most intense emotions while leaving you weak in the knees.  When wedding photographer Sarah Nichole Photography sent me this Oregon Coast Engagement session, a piece of the Katie Nicolle Photography workshop, I was immediately smitten.  For me, this hits on so many levels.  Photographically speaking, there is a gorgeous art in Sarah’s choices, playfully dipping between shallow and deeper depths of field.  The magic of film bokeh is something that, to me, digital cant quit touch… its just different and wildly enchanting when executed in such a dreamy way.  Locale wise, I adore it.  Long having had a fascination with the Pacific Northwest, I can see why there is such an attraction to an Oregon Coast engagement session, or any photography session for that matter!  Jutting in and out of the rich dark volcanic rock, walking the length of the coastline, all while vibrant lush green pines stand watch in the background.  They say locale is everything, I’d say its locale plus some pretty amazing film photography that really brings it home.
