I had the most lovely of serendipitous moments earlier this year.  Winter was just about to get rolling, the skies not yet fully turned into the ugly snow beast that lasted months, & we were all coming down from the holidays.  In mid-December I meet Valerie, our gorgeous red hair ballerina from our Christmas Tree Farm shoot, & subsequently become actual friends.  Wanting to get together post holiday,  and with Florida friends of hers in town, we all meet uptown in Harlem for BBQ.  Pretty quickly after introductions were made, Anna Nguyen stared at me a brief moment, clearly putting something together.  “You’ve feature my work!” she blurted out.  As it turns out, Anna’s not just a wedding photographer but one whose work I have had the pleasure of sharing with you all!  Naturally tons of chit chat ensued with Anna telling me about what sounded like a super sweet styled shoot she and her fiance Kerry Stratton  had done with fellow Florida wedding photographer NikkiMayDay Photography and some super terrific Florida wedding vendors.  What landed in my inbox thereafter was a total treat!  The idea of a rainbow infused wealth of colors turned soda shop backdrop was born, and not so surprisingly, when you gather that much creative talent into one shoot, more then just one vision comes to light.  The result is a uniquely cool inspiration session that beautifully breaks into 2 gorgeous features which we will be sharing over today and tomorrow!  Today’s session has a softer silkier tone, more of a striped down version of a wedding, a retro elopement with just a few close friends.  What I love is the elegant style & sophistication, proving yet again, that just because a wedding might be small in size, it can be grand, sophisticated and stunning all the same!
