In the heart of the mountain woodlands, you could find this bright styled shoot with pops of every color in the rainbow. Par La Mer Photography and Small Shindigs (planner), wanted to throw a curveball session that didn’t go along with the current trendy colors used in events, but instead, threw them all together in one ombre explosion! Vibrant wildflowers, colorblock nametags, and floral-designed cupcakes were only a couple of aspects that tied the entire theme together. This shoot is great inspo for couples that want to feature bold colors in an indie way!
What was your design inspiration?
After spending the past wedding season photographing a lot of navy, blush & white, I was dying to see more bright colors in a wedding palette. When I reached out to Sarah of Small Shindigs she was immediately on board! We had a few meetings to discuss the vibe we wanted to go with and she presented this Rainbow Ombre look, and I just totally fell in love. Sarah had recently relocated back to the East Coast after spending a few years in the wedding industry out in San Francisco, so she really brought this effortless West Coast vibe to our East Coast setting.
Describe your flowers.
All of the flower designs created by Sea Change were either directly from her farm or sourced from other local flower farms in the area. Sam really used such an array of texture with different florals, greenery, and was able to nail the rainbow ombre look in her designs. We had a ton of happy bees & butterflies following us around all day.
Describe your cake.
Me 3 Bakery chose to make cupcakes with an ombre, floral design that tied in nicely.
Tell us about your attire choices.
Since our shoot was the beginning of July, we wanted to make sure that our couple felt comfortable and that their look fit the scenery. Our model bride, Katina wore a beaded fitted gown with a low, cut-out back and square neckline from Lotus Threads. While our groom model wore a casual blue checkered suit.
Describe the tablescape elements.
The table scape highlighted our ombre rainbow theme from the florals, to the mismatched vintage plates, menus, and even chair pillows!
