A Word From The Designers:

“Love You Like The Stars Above” was a shoot inspired by the idea of lasting, established love. We wanted to use a happily married couple to create the scene for a beautiful and romantic date night.
Through the images, we hoped to portray the idea that treating each other with love, kindness and romance should always be present, no matter if you are a newly wed, newly engaged, in a new relationship, or years into a marriage.

When deciding on the visual elements of this shoot, we aimed to create a space with a very modern feel, that could be easily recreated in any type of environment. Nashville’s Bridge Building is an event space that sits on the river with a spectacular view. The clean architectural lines of the space provided the perfect backdrop for styling. Three of the four walls are full glass windows, providing a beautiful view of the river with Nashville’s Skyline above, as well as the Tennessee Titan’s LP Field.

The two Nashville-based stylist of Where Roses Bloom were drawn to a very moody, atmospheric feel. The girls hand-painted abackdrop that was inspired by the constellations and our stars above theme. Hand crafted with various paint colors and sparkling glitter, the scene reflected the magic and shine that is also found in the place settings and of course, in the beautiful dress from Glitz worn by our model.

To contrast the darkness of the back drop, we wanted to add tasteful pops of color. We used flowers, custom artwork, and artisan cookies to accomplish and enhance the look. Jessica Davis of SOULflowers chose various pinks and reds to remind us of the vibrant colors surrounding traditions of Valentine’s day and love. Artist Mary Gaspar was able to pull her inspiration only through descriptions of the colors being used in the fresh flowers. In the meaning of collaboration, the chain of inspiration led artisan cookie master, Emilie Dishno of The Sweet Elements, to use Mary’s paintings as her vision for the themed cookies. The custom invite suite, made by the talented Kendra Purnell of Pica And Pixel, beautifully tied all of these collaborators and themes together.

The final result was captured elegantly by photographer Amy Nicole. She transitioned seamlessly from the indoor moodiness, to the crisp and natural outdoor surroundings that Nashville offers. At the end of a long day of shooting, the beautiful couple was still smiling, holding hands and showing us all the true meaning of love.
