As the world was turning upside down and everyone felt unsure of everything at the beginning of 2020, Wahlman Weddings wanted to send out hope of eternal love and kindness. The images that came from this shoot are soft, calming and caring as the aim was to create something that gives a sense of peace. To achieve this desired feeling, the materials involved came to life by bringing together natural linen, grass from the fields and gardens nearby the location. And you can’t forget about the beautiful couple deeply in love. Creating a sense of peace and hope was not the only goal, but to also show that a sustainable wedding can be organized without having to take away from the sense of style. Each vendor involved was local and actively works for sustainability.
With that being said, all the products were organic and produced with no waste. Soft greens mixed in with modern shapes and natural materials set the minimalistic tone at the Sigtunastiftelsen’s stunning space. Some of the favorite elements of the day included the outdoor patio and the dessert table where handmade chocolate truffles were served with organically produced Champagne. The warm tones of the groom’s brown suit by Dako 1930 and the light hues of the tablescape items created a spring-like, whimsical inspiration that Maria Wideman captured perfectly.
