Featuring the lush gardens and grandiose European decor, Mankin Mansion really brought the wow factor to Kimberly’s Bridal Portrait Session. Kimberly’s Bridal Gown from Annalise Bridal was truly a showstopper. As we strolled through the gardens, bridal suite, and brick walkways she envisioned all of the details that would come to life on her wedding day as she walked the path of where she would say “I do.”

How did you meet?

We met on a night out with friends. It turns out we lived a block apart and both of us had chosen the bar closest to us. We ended the night eating tacos at 3am.

What is your proposal story?

I came down from an online class one evening and he had the whole downstairs covered in candles. Our dog was even in a little tux! It was during the height of COVID and was the perfect intimate proposal.

Tell us about your attire choices.

The dress I wore on my wedding day was the first dress I tried on! I had started dress shopping without a clear idea of what I wanted but I remember the second I put on this dress everything felt right. I tried on dozens of other dresses throughout the next week. But, I couldn’t get this dress out of my mind.

I was a ballet dancer growing up and the tulle was a perfect representation of that and my style.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

I loved getting to see so many out-of-town friends and family. I felt so special that they traveled so far to celebrate with us. I remember coming back to our getting-ready area with Brian right after the ceremony. We both were exhausted and laid down on the shag run together surrounded by inflatable animals my bridesmaids had brought. I loved getting to see so many out-of-town friends and family.
