There is a lot to love about today’s styled inspiration shoot. From an aesthetic stand point, the styling is right in my personal wheel house. I love everything about dragging furniture outdoors as there is just something that seems so against the grain awesome about it. I utterly adore the use of old storm windows gently hung from swaying tree branches, drinking jars adorned with simple lace bows, earthy lush rows of moss and so incredibly much more. However what is probably my favorite part of this whole shoot is whom the models are! Alexia Wardell Photography fall into a super cute, creative idea that is pure genius! I’ll let Alexia explain in her own words:
“This photo session came about in an interesting way. We put a shoot together for a new cake company here in our area so they would have some material for a Bridal show they were doing. We asked two sisters to model for us. It ended up being an fantastic experience. After being married for 6 years, the girls were able to put their dresses back on and they literally felt like princesses for a day. Afterwards they told us that it was the most fun they had had in a long time. They felt like they got to relive their wedding day all over again, only without the stress. Part of the reason they loved it so well was because they got to enjoy the experience together. From here we decided to start offering “group” Bridal sessions, for those who have been married for quite some time, as well as those who are newly wed.”
Loooove this idea! I mean how many gorgeous brides wouldn’t love to get gussied up again and have stunning editorial photos taken of them! I hope this idea catches on with more brides & photographers as I would love to see more of it. Alexia, you need to come to NYC to so we can play!
This shoot has such a dreamy Victorian Garden feel, with plenty of ‘borrow’ worthy inspiration! And seriously guys, how friggin cute is lil Mister there! I also love the cheek to cheek grin on our brides face with Mr. You can tell she is just beaming and I love that! What do you guys think about this lovely shoot? Which ideas do you like the best and might try to fold into your own wedding?
