We love the idea of at-home e-sessions. You can’t beat being able to wear your favorite pair of jeans or a comfy maxi dress and just being absolutely relaxed and in your home element. Caitlin and Connor wanted nothing more but that chill, indie vibe so they invited Mariana Ziegler into their space, and she just snapped away as they expressed their love for one another like they usually do behind their four walls. Listening to old vinyls, cooking, dancing, and cuddling with their pups on their bed. That “lazy Sunday” vibe sounds too ideal right now, and these photos definitely jumpstarts us for the weekend.

How did you meet?

My amazing fiancé and I met on the diverse and enchanting world of the great online…*chuckle chuckle* I was as skeptic as anyone yet when we first saw each other, we can both clearly agree without a doubt that it was love at first sight.

What is your proposal story?

Being a long distance couple is not the easiest thing in the world. But I can attest to the good old saying that distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. It was around the Christmas holiday when we decided that our Christmas gift to each other would be a plane ticket for me to travel to him in Greece for a couple of weeks.

Nothing can even come close to explaining the excitement and anticipation we had as our hearts waited to beat in each others embrace once again. When we made it to our air BnB , he opened the door for me with hands shaking and a big smile on his face. When I walked through the door I saw rose petals layered on the bed and floor along with candles everywhere you looked.. In one swift motion he got down on one knee and asked me to be his for forever. I said yes. 😉

Tell us about the ring/band.

My Fiancé has not fully grasped my love for authentic vintage yet, but he did know that he wanted me to be a part of the ring choosing excursion (which I was 100% in agreeable with. If you’re going to wear a ring forever, ya gotta love it!). When my fiancé finally came back to the states, we made our way to a unique wedding band shop, and after a long hunt through new made to look old silver rings, and halos that the jewelers suggested, we came to a final case of authentic vintage jewelry, re-polished and shined up to their original condition.

As we looked in the case, both of our eyes went immediately to “the ring”. It was everything I could have dreamed of and more. We replaced the center stone with a new one that we liked so as to make it more personal, however everything about that experience and the patience of my future husband that day made it so personal and special to me regardless.
