Picturesque is pretty much how you can sum up this wonderfully lovely Palm Beach wedding from Florida wedding photographer Shea Christine.  Set on Palm Beach island at the Royal Poinciana Chapel  , Brittany Lancianese & Michael Melim created a day of understated elegance from the vaulted ceilings of the chapel to the mercury glass centerpieces at the Seagate Country Club where guests danced the night away in a room filled with floor to ceiling windows, perfect for those vibrant sunset views.  A delicate palette of sterling gray and ivory was intermixed with pastel hues, lending itself beautifully to their chic seaside surroundings. Brittany & Michael’s Palm Beach wedding serves as the crescendo to nearly 8 years together, a refined and beautifully chic statement of love.

Novella of the Bride…

Mike and I had been together nearly eight years before getting married, so when we announced our engagement no one was surprised! I think that everyone who knows us would say that we couldn’t be more alike. Although we share a lot of similarities, we work in two completely different fields. Mike is a commercial insurance adviser and I am the Event Coordinator for a local music festival. He wears a suit and tie everyday while I go into the office in jeans and flip-flops. I think what makes our relationship work is the fact that we both understand and accept who each other is. And even though we agree on most things, when life throws us a curve ball we tackle it together.

We wanted our wedding to be simple with understated elegance. We incorporated mercury glass vases and candles for a slight vintage feel, and chose garden-esque flowers like peonies and snap dragons to keep the feeling light and happy.  The Royal Poinciana Chapel that we were married in is this beautiful church on Palm Beach island sitting on the intercoastal with this amazing garden behind it. Mike and I had been to the church a few times prior to the wedding and knew we had to be married there. Our reception at the Seagate Country Club, was somewhere we stumbled upon by accident. It was recently under renovation, so we weren’t sure what to expect when we went for our initial visit. We were stunned! It had beautiful new darkwood floors and this elegant feel that we loved. We wanted our reception to take place at sunset and the ballroom there has these gorgeous floor to ceiling windows overlooking their course’s rolling greens. It was perfect!

A Little Help From Their Friends ~ My sister, Courtney, was a huge help during my entire wedding planning process and even more help on the actual day! She was constantly calming me down when I had my “bridezilla” moments (I’d like to think there were only a few), and always making sure that I was stress-free, happy, and taking time to enjoy the actual wedding generic substitute viagra day.  A special touch at our wedding was that we had my childhood best friend, Brooke Eden, sing the song to our first dance. It was already such an emotional moment, but having a friend singing the words we’d chosen right beside us, made it even more personal. I think everyone enjoyed it and it was something special that we could share together.

Favorite Moments ~ I have to say, at the risk of sounding cheesy, that my favorite moment of the day was when I saw Mike at the end of the aisle waiting for me to walk down. I thought that I’d be a nervous wreck, but the moment I saw him I was overwelmed by this feeling of calmness. I think it was just knowing that whatever happened that day would be perfect because it was what was meant to be. Seeing Mike and knowing that we were about to be married and spend the rest of our lives together felt so right. It was a moment and feeling I’ll never forget!
