The pair wanted a special civil ceremony full of love and spirituality with their loved ones present, but yearned most of all for the quiet of the tall trees of Parco dei Cimini Azienda Agricola Bioresort. Their reception was no different; with billowy panels, it felt like a glamping setup with weathered wood tables adorned with striking greenery, soft-lit candles, and simple dinnerware. Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.
We wanted a wedding surrounded by nature, eco-friendly and simple. We also wanted a special civil ceremony, full of love and spirituality. So we chose a naturalistic location, far from the city, and with accessible woods.
We built our theme and colors with Mary, the wedding designer, and decided to use trees and books as threads of our wedding.
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
The most important thing for us was the ceremony, because it was not in a church so we wanted to create a special rite, with our own spirituality. At the same time we wanted to create an emotional and funny day for all the guests.
We didn’t splurge or skip anything of important for us, maybe because we had simple but clear needs.
What were your favorite parts of the day?
The ceremony was very intense and emotional: our friends played guitar and sang; our family officiated the rite and many friends made wonderful speeches, giving emotion and smiles.
Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Have fun and don’t try to control everything. The real important thing is to enjoy that special day and all the love of your friends and families.
